Calgary: Where do you get your car serviced?
Can you recommend any shops? Hopefully somewhere near the south. I've tried searching the forum but couldn't find one

thanks guys! will definitely be dropping by at the shop

Are you asking just for oil changes or for damage repairs? My car's only a month old as of today, so I haven't gotten any service done obviously.
Let me know what your experience is like, but I think I'm just going to stick to the dealership because I have free lifetime oil and filter changes, including labour. |

Glad to hear there are other places we can bring our cars, unfortunatly, I had a MAJOR problem with the dealership and in a "war of emails" and then an eventual "sit down" with the general manager, I was "given" a $1000 service credit, and free oil changes for life. So now, because of my horrible experience with the dealer, and the crappy way I was treated, I don't want to go back to them for anything, but looks like I will be as I want to use what fought so hard to get!
They had better hope they don't "forget" to tighten my filter, or some other obvious mistake......or I'll be fuming!!! |

Until the warranty expires you have to use the dealer to ensure your warranty remains valid. |

This is so that people dont do the work in their garage.. |
Yes, using other shops does NOT invalidate your warranty.
Calgary Subaru had problems doing basic things right when I used to use them, you've probably just been lucky. |

This is Canada NOT the US. In this country it is perfectly legal for Subaru to force you to use the dealer. |

Subaru Calgary can't even get oil changes and tire rotations right. If they're that lazy and sloppy, who in their right mind would use them (not to mention the dishonest bogus charges like fake environmental fees). Besides which, ever tried to claim something under warranty from Subaru Calgary, or looked at what the warranty actually covers? Good luck with that. Unless you work there, that is, which I assume you do. If a shop causes a problem they have to warranty it. If the shop doesn't cause the problem and it's a real warranty issue, then Subaru still has to honor the warranty. |
