Toyota 86 Diecast Models

Check this beauty out, I found this on google. The slots are a bit weird but it's still an interesting model.

I like it

Brzetto 08-13-2013 07:48 PM

It's definitely unique, you don't see a yellow 86 everyday that's for sure.

sidnacious 08-13-2013 08:03 PM

What scale is this?

Maybe I should include this with my preorder of 10 other girly anime figurines.
On topic, if it's from Japan, it should be good quality. I think there are some unlicensed die cast makers out in China that don't really chug out the best models.

This is some special edition Kyosho model.

The model is based on this car:

XaCAR is a magazine

The model of the car is sitting behind it in the picture. Heh.

Why doesn't it come with the BBS wheels?

It's not accurate.

Also damn I wish that was an OEM colour. I would have chosen that over Red.

Looks like a lot that one I bought in Tokyo a few months ago.

Yawnnnn! Relax...Jadatoys will get around to making one sooner or later. I took a while but I eventually got my black '98 S14.

sidnacious 08-14-2013 04:32 PM

Here's a 1/64 Kyosho that my friend just picked up for me in HK to match my Argento. Coming from a HW collector; the quality of the cast and detail is 2nd to none. I guess that's the price you pay 15x more than a normal HW LOL.

Afterwards I immediately ordered the 2 limited edition pandas. I'll post pictures once I receive them.

Does that light up? It almost looks like it does. Who makes that one?

I bought the white panda version when they both came out.

Have one in Ultramarine?

andrewFT86 08-18-2013 12:11 PM

I got the AUTOart. The only thing that is not accurate is the hood prop. It's all black and it does not swing up. The front wheels can be turned a little. Paint finish is much better than the smaller models. I have not unscrewed the car from the base. I'll take pictures and post them.

andrewFT86 08-18-2013 12:28 PM

dem00n, one is ultramarine. It came with a package of 12 cars I got from Amazon. These 12 cars are not that well made but give you a full set. The packaging was not first rate and one of the cases got cracked during shipping.

The other 86 AUTOart I saw was orange.

I am on a quest to collect every FRS/BRZ scale model there is. The hardest ones to get right now was the plastic model rocket bunnys.

andrewFT86 08-19-2013 03:35 AM

Gost,

KYOSHO OEM SERIES 1:64 TOYOTA AE86 GT Diecast Car Metallic 12 cars from Amazon
Red 86 Takara Tomy from a local store.
Takara Tomy limitted edition pack red 86 with black hood and 2000GT also from a local store toy store
AUTOart 86 form Hobbiestock - www.hobbiestock.com
I'm happy with the cars I have now but I'll look for those Rocket Bunny cars.

Brzetto 08-19-2013 10:19 AM

I saw the Kyosho OEM 1:64 86's, I passed on them. The BRZ isn't getting as much merchandise attention as the 86 is so I'm waiting for more BRZ stuff to come in. Like the Autoart 1:18 BRZ and they will probably produce a 1:43 version as well.
