Red "Time Attack" stripe on OEM?

I have as Asphalt FR-S was thinking about what a red time attack stripe would look like painted onto the OEM wheel:

Jidonsu 08-10-2013 12:12 PM

I hate that look.

boredom.is.me 08-10-2013 12:16 PM

Aw...I can't see the pics on my pad...

@Art_Mighty 08-10-2013 12:42 PM

No kidding, the more I look at my renderings the more it grows on me... :wub:

...I must be crazy! :bonk:

RehabJeff86 08-10-2013 01:08 PM

Dont do it

Do what you want!

It is your car, your opinion, your thing, your style...

I understand trying to accent in red, but so far I havent seen many rims that pull it off. But what the hell, they're just the stocks. Try it out! Maybe you'll change my mind. You will eventually get other rims anyway... :thumbup:

I can see it on my phone. It might work if the red is a darker red. Try it with plastidip. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, then just peel it off.

You would also have to do the side vent 86 badge.

It looks so much better if the wheels are black, and then put the red ring on them. That being said I personally would find better things to do with +/- $20 it takes to do the job.

You can plastidip them. If you don't like it, peel it off :)

So I definitely said pretty much the same exact thing above...I see how it is.

Nothing but love bro!~ :respekt:

Actually, I really like the red badge idea, *A LOT*. The one thing that's aways bugged me about this car is that the red pippin in the interior is the same for every color of the car and nothing ties the interoir accent to the exterior

boredom.is.me 08-11-2013 01:06 PM

Haha I'm just messing around. I really want to fill in the blacken the badge with red, but I'm too lazy to sit there with a paint brush. I wonder if I can fill it, then wipe the surface off...hmmm.

Oops, now that you mention it... You said it before. I'll thank your posts, if that can excuse it :respekt:

I think if the wheels were a single color it'd work much better, since Time Attack (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is generally black with a red stripe.

And don't even bother with plastidip and all of that. Get some vinyl pinstriping trim stuff from autopepzone and stick it on there. That will let you know.

Did you ever do it?

boredom.is.me 11-18-2013 08:26 PM

@Art_Mighty You ain't real! haha

I'm struggling to find ways to add red to the exterior.
