Got a motorcycle instead

I never planned on being one of the first owners of the 86, but I definitely wanted one in my future. A few weeks ago i bought a new cbr600rr, and i think I'll have more fun with it than with a car. Also, I wasn't too happy about the price(thought it should be more even with the civic SI). And so i wish you guys luck with the new car, and I'll see you on the streets.

Nice mini-blade!! Congrats on the purchase and I'm 100% sure you'll have more fun on this thing than the FR-S! :coolpics:

Bikes are definitely more fun than cars but I just can't justify the price of a new 600. My plan is to get a used or smaller bike (Ninja 250R) for under 4k. Ideally I'd have my Eclipse GSX for winter and a Scion FRS/motorcycle for summer. The problem is insurance and taxes. :(

Congrats!!! Have an awesome time on that CBR and be careful out there.

Being car-less is fine when your solo but the gf, house mates, even my brother have said they just don't call/do stuff with me sometimes because I dont have a car and its not an option. Im still looking forward to getting a whip, be it a $4000 civic off craigslist or an FR-S.

I decided to buy a motorcycle a little over two years ago. I bought new because when it's your life on the line you don't take chances with tires, breaks, clutch, ect. I road a old beater off craigslist when I was learning and then I upgraded to this 2009 Kawasaki VN900.

That is the best color combo, love the retro theme.

I got a 2011 leftover dual sport Suzuki DR-Z in January. Can't wait to whip this thing on the trails this summer!

I was thinking the CBR600F2. I peronsally like the old 80's to 90's color themes/combos on most bikes. These days the color combos look like a retarded monkey has been painting them.

Great bike! I currently ride it's bigger street fighter cousin the CB900F (919 or Hornet). It's a serious sleeper bike, and I love it, although I'm considering trading it in on a Goldwing because BikerBabeHawk won't ride it two up, and she wants to do some cruising this summer/fall.

Anyway, have fun and ride safe!

Absolutely!

My first sportbike was a '95 900RR that was this color scheme. I'm a little bias but this was a smooth pattern, along with the Smoking Joe colors! :party0030:

Thanks guys! The paint theme looks even better in person and turns a lot of heads when I ride. But in turn I lose some sleep just keeping an eye on it lol.

Nothing comes close to the feel of a bike. Certain cars come close but nothing can get you that same feel.

I really need another bike.

Have fun with it. I owned one last season. It was 08 graffiti edition. This bike got power everywhere.

This is when I had it into Konica Minolta Edition (with white wheel on the front).

So very true. Theres just something about feeling, even smelling every thing around you. A convertible comes close, but theres just another whole level of connection, having to shift your weight and working all 4 limbs. Alas, I've had to sell the bike (just an SV650 for me) due to a change in my priorities, hence the switch to 4 wheels. I'm sure the BRZ won't disappoint.

Everybody stay safe out there!

Huge congrats on the CBR, they're really nice machines. I guess I am holding out on buying a new bike this year to buy the FR-S, but I get to ride demos home on behalf of the dealership. I will hopefully be using a GSX-R (since we're a Suzuki dealer) for the majority of the summer.

And I love the red/white combo, it is the best color debut for 2012 across all sportbikes in my opinion.

civicdrivr 04-01-2012 02:56 AM

Congrats! Ride it in good health.

Ive got two bikes, though Im looking to downsize. One is an 88 Honda Hawk GT (staying), the other is an '08 Triumph Daytona 675 (selling).

Stay safe man!

I have to say, new Gixxer 600/750 is nice. It's starting a thousand more expensive than competitor, but it has got the whole package from factory.

If you can find a 2011, we were selling non-currents new under msrp (a lot). But we've sold out.

It'd be a toss up if we also sold Honda.
