My baby got key!

Speechless when looking at my car this morning.

Some mfker decided to key my car. 5-6 2' long on the hood. Few on the passenger side from the door to the back of the car. Poured somthing like coffee on my window. Remove my window visor. Threw one and sticked one into my exhaust. Flatted 2 back tires. Really fuckup now.

Just order BlackVue DR500GW-HD. I will go to wallmart to find some roubing compound and will find some touch up paint tomorrow. I decide to fix it myself!

kALMIGHTY 08-02-2013 08:57 PM

Any pictures of the tragedy? :(

Vmax911 08-02-2013 09:01 PM

Sorry to hear that. I'm always paranoid when I have to leave my car unattended.

Some people have no respect!

vincent201089 08-02-2013 09:23 PM

I'll take some photo tonight after work. Here's the plan.

Roubing compound to minimize the scratches.

Sand down a bit. Fill with touch up paint (base coat follows with top coat)

Sand. Clear coat. Sand. And pollish. The worst thing is I have to do thia with hand. No machine.

Based on this thread. Time, patient is the key.
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...y-scratch.html

Mine is similar to his car. I just had more things to do than him.

This is the way people has been doing. However, the car is whiteout so matchings the paint is the most difficult thing to do. I dont know what it's gonna look like but better than go to body shop. If i mess it up, body shop is last choice.

kALMIGHTY 08-02-2013 09:30 PM

My car is still brand new (2 weeks and 2 days old) and I still try to park it where I can see it from inside the store I'm going into or park it underground where it's mostly away from people's eyes and I'm still paranoid. Went to the movies last week and the whole time, I was thinking I was going to come back to it with a smashed window or door dings and what not.
Having a car like this just brings stress when you leave it unattended.

These mfkers are seriously that jealous... Knowing these kinds of people exist piss the fk out of me... :mad0260: Have the time to key up panels, rip visors off and even blow tires... Unbelievable...

Good luck with your repairs and hope it comes out looking new again...

SliverBrz 08-03-2013 02:55 PM

was this completely random?

or is there more to the story? I just find it hard for someone to randomly just do that for FUN

FV 08-03-2013 03:22 PM

I have the same dash cam:thumbup:

Sorry for your loss. I live in gg also. Your comprehensive insurance should cover all that.

Why's that hard to believe, I just got my car back from the body shop yesterday b/c I parked it outside a restaurant in Tucson to have dinner with friends...was out there 2 hours and got the entire panel under the driver side door kicked it, brand new Forgestars on that side got all fucked up and I had a flat.

People are f@#$in assholes...simple as that.

Wes 08-03-2013 09:57 PM

I'm sorry that happened to you, people just have no respect and are so subconscious now a days, always paranoid as hell leaving my car alone. Hopefully you get it fixed and your upcoming dash cam can record those idiots if they strike again.. hopefully not.

My friend has a whiteout and it is indeed a difficult color to match even with same paint code from Toyota/subaru and what not.

vincent201089 08-03-2013 11:37 PM

I went to subaru dealer to get some touch-up paint. Also bought some 1000-2000 sand papers with some polishing compound as well.

Spend 4 hours sanding, panting, buffing, sanding....no luck. small scratches are easy to work with but the deep one :(( the more I sand, the more pearl coat is gone. This color is difficult to work with. I CAN'T DO IT.

Go to a body shop that my friend had done there before and get a quote of $750 for hood, 1 door, 1 back panel, and touch-up on the front bumper! The person works there said that there's no way to fix it, I have to get it painted and this is tri-color paint. F.k

choi 08-03-2013 11:41 PM

Sorry to hear about your tragedy. Hope all goes well and wish you luck with the fixing.

Thanks for mentioning the camera, never knew about em. Shall be the first thing I purchase soon as I get the car.

some are just plain jealous, simple as that. their life is shit and pretty much have nothing to look forward too so they think by vandalizing this beautiful car, we will have it as low as them. screw them, fix it up even better than before and have the last laugh.

good luck

While I'll never understand why someone will feel the need to vandalise a beautiful car I agree with j2digit - the best revenge is living well.
Fix it up perfect, polish to a high gloss shine and show these bastards: They may take our clear coat, then may slash our tires, but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!!!!!

boucher 08-04-2013 02:02 AM

I was gone for 30 minutes while I was out for a run AT 7:00 IN THE MORNING, and I came back to a key scratch from my front fender to the door handle. Deep enough to expose the metal in a few places. The whole scratch was into the base color layer. Now I have to get the whole side of the car resprayed.. Thanks asshat.

How come every time someone's car gets vandalized there are so many people so quick to jump on the "they were jealous" bandwagon. Ever think that there are just assholes out there with nothing better to do? I'd imagine with all of these jealous people out there vandalizing cars, no exotic would be safe. ;)

AVodka14 08-04-2013 11:25 AM

Regardless of the motive to deface the car. It should encourage us to keep dash cams in our cars to get the identity of the muthrfukrs that are doing this. Seriously bring them to justice and have them pay for the damage they caused. I have seen many threads on our cars getting damaged.

My buddy has a 2002 Vette ZO6 in pristine condition that got the door kicked in while walking into the grocery for 20 min on a Sunday. People are watching and waiting more than you know. Thus having surveillance is critical. It may even help insurance coverage depending on your policy.

After an incident like this I hope everyone has learned to garage their cars for so many good reasons. Obviously the risk still exists when taking the car out in public.

AVodka14 08-04-2013 11:27 AM

Oh yeah and even though I am 29 years old. That would not prevent me from beating the shit out of someone if I got a hold of them in the act. Younger than 18 or not.

aminninja 08-04-2013 01:05 PM

damn those haters .... or is it just the colour ?

vincent201089 08-04-2013 02:02 PM

There's no other story. I don't mess anybody up, I don't hangout with anybody's girlfriend or whatsoever. Just one simple reason, they hate me.

Yeah. LOL the white one looks sick when it's clean especially under sunlight. I've seen them all, hot lava, fire storm, and black are great on photos but in real life the whiteout is the best (just my opinion they are all beautiful).

Got many photos during the working process but I don't even mind posting them. Car will go to the bodyshop on Monday and I'll get it back the following Friday.

OrangeJuleas 08-04-2013 03:32 PM

Sorry to hear that bro. I don't understand why people can't be constructive instead of destructive. There should be zero tolerance on people who do this kind of thing. You get caught - paint thinner on your own car. :paddle:

On the flip side, you should look into getting a full wrap for your car now, or consider plastidipping it! You can pick your color, and if you foresee this kind of thing happening again, at least you will have a little protection against it.

Also, good call on the dashcam. Find them, and kill them. :mad0260:

Paint thinner? Now why would you want them to get a free paint job through their insurance company because their car was vandalized? ;)

I wonder how long before the vandals realize they can just completely tear the wrap off of a car, now that there are a lot of people doing it..

Dashcam would be a good idea if you can identify them on camera.

F-86 08-05-2013 10:31 PM

OMG.. Sorry to hear about that happend :( If it's not to deep you can try Meguiar's ScratchX, it working very well with minor scratch and cheaper. And also if u want touch up you can get 1 can of sray of liquid paint at Auto Paint ( Magnolia-Westminster) for 25$, they'll match your car's color by manufacture color code and they're very close to your apt :) I live at Magnolia-Hazard, hope to see you and your car soon bro.

Cameronghanson 08-05-2013 10:42 PM

I wonder if this happens to like 911s or M3s. Horrible. Sorry dude

gzpermadi 08-06-2013 11:18 AM

hope everything will be fixed soon and if I were you I would park in the same place and watch the car from far away.
Somehow I think these people will do it again if they see the car is fixed.
Then you can have your revenge.

svodka 08-07-2013 12:53 PM

I had someone hit my side mirror which turned it out and scratched the paint surface. Looked like they just flat out just hip checked it as they walked by. People are idiots man, sorry to hear about your car. Use insurance though and get it fixed right instead of doing it yourself (unless that's what you do for a living :P)
Good luck

Do you have a full coverage insurance policy? you could always just claim through insurance. But if you have already started on trying to repair your car yourself this subject would be a little touchy with insurance.

HeubergerMotors 08-07-2013 02:57 PM

Oh my gosh, some people are assholes. I hope you get it fixed :)

Diode Dynamics 08-07-2013 03:08 PM

I'm sorry to see this happened to you! I hate these threads!

Why can't people leave other people's cars out of it? So frustrating every time I see these!
