LA cruise

Hey guys! I was wondering where would be a good place with a view of the city to take a girl out. I don't know how to get to any views. I live in the 626 area so if anyone lives nearby and knows good places to go would be pretty helpful

r4m3n 08-01-2013 06:29 PM

Griffith Observatory
Yamashiro restaurant

I might check out the Griffith observatory.

I was looking for something more like drive up and around a mountain and have a view of a city.

You can see all over L.A. from the Observatory.

No I have not. I was thinking about signal hill, the view, and 88 steps(?) think that's what it's called. But I have no idea how to get to any of them. I think I can get the address for signal hill but idk about the other two

sidnacious 08-06-2013 06:31 PM

GMR? If you're just looking for a view...

Once my car leaves the auto body shop, we should organize a cruise night

Mullhulland drive for sure. You exit off the 405 and get on nice curvy roads and nice views

whitegloves 08-14-2013 09:02 PM

626:
west, monterey park - cast away restaurant.
east, rowland heights- 1. pacific palms golf resort.
2. rowland heights: end of azusa road by Shabarum Park.

You've got the car, now just make the move. :D

Gaiakai 08-14-2013 09:41 PM

For my car's 1st anniversary, I drove up to the Hollywood Bowl Overlook:

http://goo.gl/maps/uqPwR

Beautiful view of the city at night, and if you get there too early you can go to the Universal Overlook (also marked on the map) first so you can take the nice and tight twisties on the way to the Hollywood Bowl.

Parking is very limited though, so heads up.

Hold on man its not his girlfriend....Yamishiro would be a serious dating take on food.

Let's leave that for few months down the line.

Awesome spot though!

Don't go to 88 steps, the people in the neighborhood will call the cops on you if they find out your there. Went there once and unfortunately brought a very loud friend that won't listen when you tell her to be quiet...

Sup guys! Bumping this up because I'm actually heading out to SoCal this week from NorCal. I'll most likely be in SFV/Hacienda Heights/Anaheim area. Just wondering if there are any more recommendations? Twisties, views, food, I'm down to check it out. And if you see a swp brz with its front end wrapped in painter's tape, don't be hesitant to show some love! :D

If you're in the Hacienda Heights area and like asian foods, then I could give you a couple of suggestions based on what specific type of food you want (i.e. Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, etc.)

I'm open to all Asian foods actually. Taiwanese/Japanese/vegetarian/non-vegetarian/etc. I just like to keep an open mind and give anything a try.
