As in laughing so hard soda pop almost was forcing itself through nose. Lol

Anthony 08-01-2013 05:34 AM

Hahahaha oooooh! I forget "pop" is a drink in some places. I thought you may have popped a fly out of your nose, a fly popped out of your nose, a pop fly (as in baseball) flew out of your nose, or some other variation. I was so confused and grossed out.

I just call it coke...

and lol... 2 hours... that's what it takes me to cross from where I live to the metropolitan area... and I did that occasionally on a 10 year old run down BMW that could have a blown radiator or failed coil at any moment...

We are all staying up in the middle of the night enjoying the forum and reading this thread.................. :)

I live in a coke region as well.

...I also live in a region where we use "coke" as the primary generic word for a soft drink. >bah doom, pscht!<

#944_10_Series_FRS 08-01-2013 06:35 AM

And I live in a state where we can smoke weeds legally now :)

Anthony 08-01-2013 06:38 AM

Get out of here, you. I live in a state where we're just realizing, "oh shit, life is going to be a lot harder without slaves."

mrlewistan 08-01-2013 06:52 AM

i did a 6 hour random drive around the state a few days ago lol

but for long trips, bring a plastic bag for trash. wash and wax the car will help keep the car looking its best. if you are driving somewhere and leaving the car for an extended time (like airport parking lot) maybe get one of those steering wheel locks.

3_NA_HAF 08-01-2013 08:03 AM

2 hours.. pfft. I'm leaving this time next week for a 4200km trip, (2600mi). Pretty sure it'll be fine!

Sounds like you have no idea what is in involved in the process of waxing a car, so I'd pay a pro to do it.:bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk ::bonk::bonk:

I'm actually planning a two week road trip in my FR-S one week after I get it, which should be next week. So I'm going to say yes, crazy, but the good kind of crazy.

No, that sounds like a lot of fun.

Maybe this is the first trip "out of town" in their car. Before hitting the road, check your fluids and tire pressure (including the spare!). Safe travels!

mountainside 08-01-2013 04:05 PM

Did a 9 hour drive a week after getting our FR-S: just make sure the fluids/tire pressure are good, and vary your revs if you're in the break-in period. Depending in where you are going, it might be worthwhile to tape up or temp 3M paint protect the front bumper and hood to protect against stone chips, etc. Washing and waxing is a really good idea, too.
