I remember watching the Pacers n Pistons fight back in '04 at a bar! Damn Ben Wallace was such a beast back then!

I forget what player did this but I remember one stupid fan who tried challenging a Pacer player and got laid out, :lol:, what a dumbass! I think it was O'Neal who did that if I had to guess? I only saw the highlights and the breakdown of the fights (like it was boxing) from TV or youtube and I couldn't believe that happened.

And that was when Ron Artest was really a punk in the league. So I enjoyed seeing this when it happened personally, especially when someone threw a their beer at him.
I've been part of a team on team brawl back in HS so when I see this type of thing happen it just brings back good ole memory's.

That was Artest! I hated it him when he was on the Kings!! The Pacers had a nice thugged out squad back then w/Stephen Jackson, Jermaine O'Neal and Ron Artest! :bellyroll:

I'm not gonna lie, but if O'Neal and Wallace went at each other I'd think it be a decent fight. The original quarrel between Wallace and Artest, I'd pick Big Ben Fear the Fro Wallace over Artest if the refs let them fight like in hockey. And I guess you could say the trio of pacers were kind of thugs in the NBA. :iono:

And I loved the Don't be a Menace clip to poke fun at Arenas and Crittenton.

Nope, its still baseball, so umm..... yeah that's about it. I guess the only baseball brawl that comes to mind is the Sox vs. Yankees rivalry or more specifically the game when Zimmer got thrown to the ground by Martinez.

I love ice hockey! Fighting in hockey is very common, i think because it's so physical game. There is lot of hits and speed, and if someone makes cheap shot, he's gotta pay. Most exiting game i think :)

Bruins were good last year and still play alright now, but I'll always be a Detroit Red Wings fan first over the Bruins.

Chara played junior for my hometown. So even if I live in Greater Vancouver, I was happy for Chara's cup. (Ignoring the whole riot bit...)

if you want to see guys fuck each other up there are plenty of sports to watch other than hockey.

fighting is not what makes hockey great

As a recreational hockey player i enjoy the physical aspect of the game, but fisticuffs have never solved anything and only distabalize the game.

there are enough injury problems in hockey as it is with players getting injured left, right and center.

the best thing you can do when someone drops the gloves is skate away, your team gets a power play and the other player is now enraged for the rest of the game.

i would much rather watch someone like Datsyk deak out 8 guys and score a goal than two guys trying to fight on skates while wearing fucking armor.

It has its purpose still (or would if the instigator rule was gone), so long as the league is not cracking down on dirty hits, or even clean hits intended to injure (Scott Stevens). Old days, someone cheap shots your teammate, goon kicks his ass. Motivation not to cheap shot people. Now someone cheap shots your teammate, doesn't drop gloves and earns a powerplay to boot, and league does nothing. Weak.

That being said, one of my favourite moments was watching Georges Laraque score a hat-trick.

Yep, you are right, sir. I don't watch hockey cos of fights, but it does have purpose. Keeping game clean.

I love ice hockey, it's so fast, physical and unpredictable. Players have so much skills and talent and winning takes so much effort :clap: Number one sports in finland. :w00t:
