If you get a spacer like that, it is going to need to be an "Adapter". Usually at least 25mm-30mm, literally bolts onto the hub and has new hub-bolts sticking out.

I have seen some 5x114.3 wheel hubs that will bolt on directly to the ft86 so there is no need for adapters... +/- $800

Kind of like 5 lug conversion kits for your S14, same thing...

You mean this? http://www.meganracing.com/new/produ...=1580&catid=97

exactly yes

By the time you put on a 25-30mm adapter the wheels will be sticking out ready for over fenders..

slava 07-31-2013 02:18 PM

Not true. Kics makes 10mm and 15mm conversion spacers that would work perfect with R33 wheels. Depending on wheel design, you might have to cut studs.

If you decide not to do this, I would be very interested in buying your gtr wheels.

I am no longer in the auto industry as far as performance parts go... But when I was it was at least a 20mm adapter.

If they make a spacer that is 10mm that is news to me!

Won't see me take it on a track though... I'd use them parked...

well I found what im looking for let you guys know how it goes when I put the wheels on

philstar 07-31-2013 07:25 PM

15mm should work fine with the R33 wheels as long as you use the stock 215/45 tire size.

My friend used 10mm conversion spacer to put R33s on his FR-S and they fit no problem, so 15mm shouldn't be an issue. He had to cut the stock studs though if you were wondering.

And those pics of my car above are actually R33 reps that I got from Japan. Limited run by M2 Hanbai back in the day in a much less aggresive sizing so I was able to run a larger spacer so I didnt have to cut my stock studs to make them work. But now that I have confirmed that real R33's will fit, debating what to do next because I can find real ones all day and I am having trouble finding more of these reps on YAJ and I need drift spares!

popos1907 07-31-2013 07:35 PM

I really don't wanna cut the stock studs. Where did he get the 10mm at ?? Wonder if I will have to cut with 15 mm

popos1907 07-31-2013 07:36 PM

And which spacer are u using ?

KONVERTER 07-31-2013 08:39 PM

I would not advise on using those things... If you did, you must figure out something to do about the center wheel bore...

slava 07-31-2013 09:58 PM

Lets not get all technical. Slap em on with the r33's and get excited!

My spacers were custom made from www.motorsport-tech.com

My friend is using Project Kics

These are probably the best adapters you could buy for the twins.

Hub centric is a big deal, Especially when it comes to spacers.

Not having hub centric wheels or spacers is really hard on the studs, and they will tear up faster without them.

popos1907 07-31-2013 11:23 PM

I wonder if I will be fine with 15mm or will I have to cut or should I go with 20mm

Depends on the wheel you will have to look at the mounting surface to see if it has indentions between the holes or if its all flat

Example: this style should work without cutting

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...00504346_n.jpg

if its a flat style you would have to cut or get spacers thicker than the studs stick out

popos1907 07-31-2013 11:54 PM

My r33 looks like the ones on the gold pic

popos1907 07-31-2013 11:54 PM

Guess I should be fine

Yeah basically as long as there is room for the studs to go behind the wheel your fine. just measure the distance between the blank spots on the wheel to make sure they are more than 100mm apart and make sure those gaps are deeper than the studs protrude past the adapter.

You'll definitely need to measure the distance between the gaps.
