Photos Of Interior Measurements, Trunk, etc

I saw a BRZ in person and took some photos. Below are the photos relevant to the FRS:

1. Fuse box.

2. I'm not sure what this tubing is (perhaps a sound enhancer).

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-q...1/IMG_0327.JPG

3. The shifter felt great. Its action isn't quite as smooth and effortless as my '99 MX5 (or the S2k, my all time favorite), but its 3.5" throw is even shorter than my MX5. It's by far the best shifter I've used in a Subaru.

4. There was 3" of clearance behind the driver seats for my normal position (5'9", 31" inseam). Not enough for anyone, but I think I could drive with the seat pushed forward a couple inches (and thus could carry a small adult or child behind me in a pinch).

5. It's snug, but you can fit two 5'-9" adults in the passenger side front and rear seats no problem (though headroom in the back is a joke). I had about 6.5" of clearance for my legs in the back with another 5'9" person in the front.

6. My feet were tucked under the front seat.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9...1/IMG_0295.JPG

7. The trunk is about 32" deep with the rear seats in place.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-i...1/IMG_0285.JPG

8. The trunk is 56" deep with the rear seats folded down.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-h...1/IMG_0344.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-D...1/IMG_0343.JPG

9. The rear seats are 39" across and it's 53" across from wall-to-wall in the back seat.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-n...1/IMG_0345.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-r...1/IMG_0349.JPG

10. The alcoves above behind the rear wheels are 14" deep and 11" tall.

11. Here are a few shots of the stuff under the trunk.

Nice!

Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and posting them. Do you know whether the whole tray with the tools can be removed? I'll be removing my spare and tools to reduce weight.

It looked like the trays are removable. The Subaru rep seemed a little nervous when I removed the trunk floor and asked me not to disassemble anything else, so I didn't take them out.

Nice and roomy in the trunk and with the seats folded down. Doesn't look to different than my coupe, which is huge compared to the FR-S. I can definitely daily it with no problems.

It looks similar to my tC, as far as the foam pieces with the tools. If so, it will pop right out, just being held in with plastic clips.

Thanks for all the effort!

Do you know what that white box is at the top left of the spare?

Not to be that guy, but any reason for the double/cross post?

To elaborate: I initially only posted in the BRZ subforum, but it occurred to me that those only interested in the FRS/GT86 wouldn't see it. Then I was just going to post a link to the other thread, but about half its photos are BRZ-specific, so figured it made sense to make a version here with only the photos pertaining to the FRS/GT86.

Oh, I just noticed the other thread made front-page. I wasn't expecting that... mods, feel free to merge the threads or just delete this one if you like (as now it does seem redundant).
