WAIT WHAT HOLD UP THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS CAN BEND LIKE THAT?!

SurfAndSand 07-28-2013 07:28 AM

I wish the light up badges didn't stick up so far off of the body.

AG3NT_5CARFAC3 07-28-2013 07:35 AM

Not really feeling the whole 10 series. I think the "Built not bought" motto would go nice here...

I don't see what your trying to say here. It's basically just like a GT86.

mezdup 07-28-2013 10:51 AM

i wonder how much those headlights will go for

Cheddar 07-28-2013 10:53 AM

wow i'm sorry but that has to be the most retarded place to put the numbered plaque! They should fire whoever thought of that location.

How the hell am i suppose to show it off while driving? lol

Enraged21 07-28-2013 11:01 AM

are dealers really not offering the headlights as an upgrade to the frs?

Cost is 1,063 and after tax it's 1,167 and that's per light. I checked once my local dealers started showing them in parts.

But why are you yelling lol.

And dammit thats still a ridiculous price for these headlights :(
Only thing that I really envy about these cars.. that is til I blacked mine out, I dont care about it too much.. but that climate control though is nice

DF-Aero 07-28-2013 04:00 PM

:) so you finaly getting a proper JP spec toyota GT86 in the states;)

Lonewolf 07-28-2013 08:01 PM

I guess sarcasm escapes some people...lol

Scion is jumping the shark. Nothing on this car is an upgrade, just an appeal to retards.

I feel like this is an insult to reatards. Just saying pretty weak choice of words there. I won't say anything about the car because as with everything it's personal taste. I mean it's not my thing but that is why it's an optional package. It's not like you have to buy it. I do want those headlights tho...

I thought the numbered plaque is silver before, but it looks black

here.

dem00n 07-28-2013 09:01 PM

Damn, that's a boring color.

Also, what a shitty place to put a plaque.

Actually, it's around 400 per light. I had my buddy at a dealership check on Friday, perhaps your guy was looking at an old price.

DealerFR-S 07-29-2013 11:40 AM

The headlights are 2200.00 a pair at our dealership. And to be honest with all of u, the coolest thing on the car is the wing that is BOLTED DOWN....not double sided tape, and the rearview mirror. Other then that, Its just a few extra addons.

frslee 07-29-2013 04:30 PM

The only thing I like about the 10 series is the headlight. Other than that... all showoff.

Tell him to rechecked. Those are the stock lights we already have on our cars. The ones for the 10 Series say "Limited" next to them. There was no old price either, they were never offered before in the states until now.

I've been told by salesmen that you can only get the Limited parts after you give out your VIN.

However, I only listen to half of what salesmen say.

I got a VIN off a local 10 series at the dealer. The funny thing is with the VIN it didn't pull it up. Took the filter off the search field though and it came up with all the other parts. Same for the dual climate controls and other things I looked into. It's like the parts are in the system but they aren't officially linked to the 10 series yet. Either way, they are there and I'll be buying most of it soon.

azian_advanced 07-29-2013 06:36 PM

why are people trying to get 10-series headlamps when you can just get the LHD GT86 ones from Nigel.

They are the same thing but now you can get them at your local dealer a bit faster. At least that's how i feel about it.

Who is Nigel? Thread link please?

If I can get a Firestorm, and then add my own real LHD DOT approved HID bi-xenon headlamps for a reasonable price, I'd like to go that route.

Believe me, once you see the LED DRLs in person, you will want the GT86/10-series headlamps. :)

Electric windows are heavy, i was shocked how heavy they were when we took them off a Lexus and then an Audi. You don't need more weight.

Or switches to be frank.

I think my Whiteout FR-S spoiler is bolted down as well. The bolts below are mirrored on the left side of the trunk lid. I see four of them in total.

Lol thats true, not like I would really be using it much anyway. Plus, I don't mind just walking to push them in if I really needed to. Glad we don't have heated seats either for the FRS :happy0180:

DealerFR-S 07-30-2013 12:16 AM

the earlier fr-s wing was just on with double sided tape. later ones were fixed due to wings coming off at high speeds.

DealerFR-S 07-30-2013 12:18 AM

WHEN I GET A PART NUMBER FOR THE HEADLIGHTS.....I WILL SEND IT OUT FOR EVERYONE!
