How do you answer the follow?
 

Today I went to the local autozone to pick up some sandpaper. A girl saw me get out of my BRZ and went into the store before me. I was behind her at the register and she asked me if my car was fast.

I replied "No, it's slow, but it really hooks the road"

Now this isn't the first time I was asked this question and I always answer the same way. What about you guys?

before though, i'd say "she's not fast, but she's quick" then walk off while they were confused

I've been on here too long, I was trying to find the original version of this thread then realized I had better things to do...

I just say it's not that fast but it's fun, either they get or they don't, I'm not going to wait around and explain it to them.

I would say fast enough. It is compared to a lot of "iconic" sports cars

See, I struggle with this question because the FR-S is the fastest car I've driven. She's fast to me. I have absolutely no experience with higher HP/faster cars. So I want to say yes, but this site has brainwashed me because everyone talks about how slow this car supposedly is, so when I'm asked I just go, "It's quick/agile, probably not as fast as something with a lot more horse power though." I feel it's an honest answer from what I seen here, but personally I don't feel like it's honest because it's not really my answer.

I say it's not too bad, and usually mentioning it's pretty light and it's RWD is enough to get a "that's interesting" look.

I always answer that question with its faster than my other car. If they ask what's my other car then I say a Prius!

next time just invite her for a ride, let the car answer it for her.
(better know some good roads closeby the autozone)

if shes fat and ugly, dont do that, car will scrape.

Lol, being ugly will make the car scrape?
Or you cant look right cause shes ugly and you might crash and scrape the car?

slow, plain and simple answer

i saw slow as hell but really fast in the corners.

You could tell the them the car isn't about top speed or 0-60 times, that it was designed with handling being the priority .

Only non-virgin answer in this entire thread.

Simple answer: "I'd like to show you sometime, just how fast it/she is."

My answer would be "Are you? If so, lets go for a ride caus I like fast cars and faster women!!!!!"

Before my response was "fast enough for me".

Now I say "yea, its really fucking fast" but that's because now it is.

"Fastest car in the world, last I checked."

I once heard a fellow 86 owner say "it's entertainingly fast" so I use that now.

What i would answer.. Compared to what?
There are alot of faster cars but alot slower cars 2 and what is fast? 0-62mph? or top speed?
when you are used to driving a prius the GT86 is fast when you are used to driving an EVO the GT is slow however when your used to driving a GTR that same EVO is considered slow...

When i was filling my car up with petrol a random guy came over and asked "what is it like to drive"?.
I replied with "like a big go kart".

Someone asked me about top speed one day and I replied ~144. They said "That bitch looks like it goes 200".
After, they couldn't get why I was laughing so hard.

If the girl was a looker I would have said "Can ya drive STICK?" :D

My answer is "she goes. Especially around corners."

"Almost lost my pink to a Prius driver."

i usually say, "no, not really but its a really fun car"

My response to these questions:

"It's wont win a stop light drag race, but around the corners it's a hell of a lot of fun."

i get this all the time.... i just tell them "its a drivers car" then i just carry on my way:burnrubber:

people that ask if your car is fast are what i call "basher drivers" all fast in straight line:clap: anyone in a fast car can go fast in the straight away but a well balance car is more fun to drive...

i was asked "is it fast?" today by a stranger... i just said "its not fast, but it handles really well"

I say "Yeah, it's pretty fast. Nothing too crazy." This let's me be honest and humble at the same time.

I say not to bad have to have it high revving but handles awesome. I used to own a v8 before and power, there is no comparison but to drive I would choose the brz any day.
