Girlfriend Jealous

The lady friend feels I take better care of my FRS and care about it more than I do for her

Anyone else?

humfrz 07-19-2013 12:35 PM

No, but I would suggest ......flowers and chocolate might ease her mind .... ;)

phloozy 07-19-2013 12:35 PM

Anthonytpt 07-19-2013 12:39 PM

White64Goat 07-19-2013 12:41 PM

Take her for a waxing (if you catch my drift):bellyroll:

FRSBRZGT86FAN 07-19-2013 12:45 PM

I feel like there was a banned commercial of this somewhere:[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXIR_wo3cMg"]The TOYOTA GT86 Advert - Dream Machine. - YouTube[/ame]

Rayme 07-19-2013 12:46 PM

Being single is highly under-rated.

Thank you!!! My FR-S sure loved the flowers but I had to help her with the chocolates! For some weird reason my lady texted me to find a hole in my FR-S to use for the next 30 days!

Oh hell no, saw the video, lmao, but she went Carrie Underwood on that 86!! Take the bat to me but no my 86!!

Dsmith1992 07-19-2013 12:49 PM

Lol

vividracing 07-19-2013 12:50 PM

The car will never leave you.

TouchMyHonda 07-19-2013 12:51 PM

Man fuck those bitches. I would be just fine leaving them in my BRZ.

Enraged21 07-19-2013 01:22 PM

I get it all the time. And I tell my girlfriend: At least my car doesn't talk back to me. I tell my car what to do and she listens

leon78 07-19-2013 01:32 PM

I spend all my weekends racing autox or working on my cars/bikes....the woman comes second.

jonbonazza 07-19-2013 01:44 PM

I am really not sure why people are so proud about this?

GNS 07-19-2013 01:45 PM

You're doomed, run while you can.

Same reason why they're so proud of getting speeding tickets and less-than-flattering comments about their hella flush stance.

I think it's really funny to compare taking care of a material object to taking care of another person. I'm not proud of ti, just amused. That being said, I have finally gotten my dream car. I've been waiting for this moment for over a decade, so yes I'm very excited and dropping a lot of cash on it.

Find a girl that is a true car enthusiast and not a wannabe so she wont have nothing to complain about.

This. Mine bought me rims and helped pay for my trip to 86Expo in Vegas.

vividracing 07-19-2013 02:09 PM

My wife is not a car enthusiast but she knows how important the car is to me. So she supports my hobby. I can buy things for it as long as we talk it out and set aside money for it and buy when the time is right. I'm so lucky.

Hardrock4445 07-19-2013 02:12 PM

Mine bought me headers and helped with the install.....

Actually mine gets pissed off only if I don't let her drive if She wants! lol

hmong337 07-19-2013 02:19 PM

My wife HATES my MR2! But at least she approved of the FRS...

White64Goat 07-19-2013 02:26 PM

When you get home from work tonight:

Step 1: Hide Guitar.........................

Step 2: :happy0180:

ftc~brz 07-19-2013 02:29 PM

I get in trouble every time I buy new car parts...my husband feels that I should buy him airsoft stuff to make it fair. Some how I find it easier to justify car stuff vs. fake gun stuff. Some of that shit cost more than real guns! Maybe I should just get him a real ar15 and call it a day.

deange 07-19-2013 02:41 PM

Since it is fun to compare the two...

An OBD reader will at least tell me if something is wrong with my BRZ.
Trouble shooting women is a lot more involved.

The trunk on my BRZ won't ever get any bigger and I can put what ever I want in it.

My BRZ has climate control.
Women are always too hot or too cold.

My BRZ came with a manual.

phastafrican 07-19-2013 02:54 PM

After seeing that commercial, I'm pretty lucky my wife told me to get the FR-S and bought it for me. Didn't have to even start the conversation. Stopped by a dealership as we drove by when we saw a RED FR-S in the parking lot. It was automatic, and I wanted a manual but all the only manual they had was in White. I was on the fence and wanted to wait until they got a red manual in stock 2 weeks later. My wife decided I should get a black one...called the next dealership, walked in, and she bought me the only black one on the Showroom floor.
Didn't have to say, do, or sign anything. I'm gonna get my wife flowers tonight. :)

dawnst3ar 07-19-2013 02:57 PM

My wife understands and helps whenever she can. We spent the entire fourth of July weekend working on the car - replaced all the lights with LEDs, blacked out the reflectors in the front four lights and the rears, and added the OEM splash guards.

It is about compromise and understanding - relationships are about working together for both your benefit. I hate that advertisement, it shows the worst in people - selfishness all around. I cannot imagine making a purchase that large without talking to my wife, and I cant imagine that she would keep me from it unless it were completely out of the realm of possibility. If you cant understand what I mean, then you might want to think about your relationship and possibly even your definition of love, imho.

This exactly. She makes fun of me and doesnt understand it but she knows its important to me. She pretty much handles all our finances and it has come to a point where she tells me how much this month we can allocate to car parts :P

KGFRS86 07-19-2013 03:15 PM

My girlfriend encouraged me to buy my FR-S and even helped haggle my interest rate down as well as my payments. :D <3

Sometimes she's a bit jealous though. :P

That would be a waste of money. What would a car do with flowers and chocolate?

FRyeS 07-19-2013 03:20 PM

I got 99 problems...

gily25 07-19-2013 03:30 PM

My wife put the vinyl decals on and bought me Perrin tips for a surprise...I think you might have the wrong woman...tell her to pack her sh!t and get out if she doesn't like it.

Dezoris 07-19-2013 03:43 PM

I would actually like to stop spending so much time on the car and more on the hos.

Exactly. My wife and I enjoy the FRS together. She helps me wash it, put mods on, and even is learning how to drive a stick in it. Its a partnership for me. She married into a guy who loves cars, and she wants to be a part of it.

jaydee_do_work 07-19-2013 04:28 PM

my wife owns her own twin. we enjoy driving together when we take both cars out for a spin. we help each other out with mods. only thing she's jealous of is my wheels, I'm jealous of her cat back and intake.
