Anyone ever write an apology letter to an officer for a traffic violation?

So recently i got a couple of speeding tickets and i want to try and dismiss them. I thought about writing a letter to the officers to see if they'll drop the tickets. Therefore my questions are has anyone ever done this? If you have where do you mail it to? Theres three PD's in my area or do i just mail it to the precinct on the ticket?

Rofl I'm sorry but I don't think that will help. Try getting a lawyer. Those seem to do the trick

Knee pads come to mind...... LOL

Touge_ninja 07-16-2013 08:04 PM

Lube as well?

whaap 07-16-2013 09:13 PM

What would you apologize for, giving him the opportunity to do what he's paid to do?

Hilarious!

Looks like we have ourselves another Eddie Haskell here..

I don't know of any justice system that allows the police the power to dismiss the case.

An apology letter? Really?

Could you imagine the laughs they'd get out of that @ the station?

As stated a few posts back--lawyer up...

bkblitzed 07-16-2013 09:26 PM

they probably will give you more tickets if you did that lol. Apologies make you weak!

I thought this was a joke until I realized the OP was serious.

I learned today that apologies make you weak.

Next week, flushing kittens down a toilet.

An apology letter is considered a confession letter in court.

Your cops carry lube? Dang! Lucky...

Mississippi is a dry state.

LOL

once a ticket is written, it is in the system and there is no reversing it.

well, the only way to reverse it is to have a judge dismiss it.

Maybe if you batt your puppy-dogg eyes at the judge??? :iono:

This is a good point. More importantly, how big are you boobs? "Huge" would be the preferred response in this situation.

Most situations, really.

All situations!!

Waste of time, you aren't sorry.

whitefrs 07-17-2013 10:24 AM

Spoke to my uncle about this
Hes a state trooper and he was like
Ask him to do it, even the judge will have a good laugh
