Chee-Hu 07-15-2013 07:55 PM

Looks amazing. If you don't mind me asking, would you be able to provide a rough estimate on how much all those pieces set you back for?

Jhon19lopez 07-15-2013 08:10 PM

$800-900 its in that price range but worth every penny ill be a customer a Jpm coachworks for a while still have the dash , roof , doors, seats, steering wheel to do

Looks awesome especially the steering wheel. I want one, but I don't want to sacrifice the air bag. Also why do you prefer such a long shifter? Its like you're driving a truck.

White_Lightning 07-17-2013 11:42 AM

That interior is a class above the factory bits. I'm also interested in that steering wheel. I currently have mine all the way up and all the way out. I still wish the wheel was closer to me. What pieces need to be purchased for that conversion? Any rough idea if that wheel is able to telescope closer to the driver? I already have the SRS light on from my Bride seat. I'm not concerned about that. As far as losing the airbag goes, I'll take that risk.

Rally style! :)

I live near JPM ... need to save up for some of these great pieces. Looks top notch!

Shifter is closer to the steering wheel, means less time your hands are off the steering wheel. That's generally the reason for a long shift knobs. It's generally more ergonomical than having the shift knob down below.
it also requires less force to shift since its so long.

Not sure if thats why he did it, but thats usually why dash mounted or long shifters are used for.

The only problem with a shift knob that tall is that it's an unnatural feeling.

Thanks for the comment , if you buy the works 540 hub not the slim and a quick release it should bring it about 2-3 inches closer then what i have. All you need is a hub and steering wheel

I live 5 hours away and I save up to buy piece by piece which takes for ever but at the end it's all worth it

CharlieChaos 07-26-2013 12:01 PM

Thank god I dont live near JPM otherwise I would be broke living in my car although an entire Alcatara Interior might not be a bad place to live

Mexorcist 07-26-2013 04:21 PM

Both cars are very nice man, I would love to do this to mine at some point.
Props to both cars.

Well that turned out awesome!!!

I'm not really digging the shift extension though, it's not a sequential gear box...
