APR on your FRS/BRZ?

I was just wondering, what did you guys get for APR? Multiple dealers told me 3.2%-4.1%. What have you guys gotten? And is it safe to say that should lower in a couple weeks?

TaddyDobbins 07-12-2013 09:02 PM

Any of those rates are historically low. Pick the one that fits your needs best and buy the car. There is no telling what will happen in two weeks. My APR was 3.25%

Best APR on that I saw was 2.69% which is a little higher than what I got from them. They'll lower it a bit if you have a large down payment (>5 figures I believe) and having a promotion like military or recent graduate also helps. Of course this is only considering TFS, a good Credit Union should be able to do even better. You won't get less than 2% out of TFS at the moment but under 3% (providing you have the credit to back it up) should be possible.

2.99 was best offered a week ago through tfs on this car

leon78 07-12-2013 09:45 PM

I got 1.99 through Navy Fed...0 down...72 months. I'm 22 with awesome credit....that was in Dec tho. I didn't even try TFS w/ the $1000 rebate.

Sent from my yotaru

1 month ago when I bought my FRS, I got 2.19% from Toyota. If you put down at least 1/3 of the OTD price you get a lower rate than the standard 2.69%.

After checking my paperwork I think it's -0.25% for a large downpayment (>1/3 the price) and -0.25% if you get military/recent grad discounts.

Again, contingent on having good enough credit to qualify.

Wo6M 07-12-2013 11:53 PM

I got 2.3%

Bt216 07-12-2013 11:59 PM

Mine feels high at 4.6

kALMIGHTY 07-13-2013 12:02 AM

Here in Canada, the standard rate is 3.99%, down 1% from about a month and a half ago when it had been 4.99% since the car was released. Because of the graduate rebate, it lowered by 0.2% and I ended up with 3.79%.
All your other APRs are making me jealous for not living in the US. :(

Kinda surprised this was never mentioned to me, when asked what i was putting down, I had made it clear that would depend on how the rate compared to what I collect by holding the money.

I actually went to 2 different Toyota/Scion dealerships. The 1st one I went to was One Oakland. They were NOT upfront with me about the discounted rate if you put down a larger down payment.

When I went to SF Scion, they were straight up and told me about the 2.19% special. After the transparency, you can guess which dealership I bought my car from.
