i find it really ugly ( the kit ) and the colour too :(
also the spoiler is a little bit exaggerated.

vaporiz 03-11-2012 05:20 AM

I LIKE THE WING!!!! :D sorry its a celica, supra, wrx thing... big stock factory wings like that are cool in my book if they are functional

just86 03-11-2012 06:45 AM

Got rice? Lol yes

NERO 03-11-2012 06:59 AM

Doesn't surprise me.

Got a whole rice plantation by the look of it....

alan.chalkley 03-11-2012 07:41 AM

A wing like this is helpful on this lightweight car,to get more traction at a rate of knots.

geez 03-11-2012 08:50 AM

C'mon guys. I work in Saudi Arabia and the folks over here eat a lot of rice.

ahausheer 03-11-2012 11:30 AM

This will never fly, first off it isn't nearly obscene enough for Dubai, what is that on the front a mustache?, paint it chrome or gold or both, charge 3x the price and then you got a winner.

Pakjk89 03-11-2012 11:32 AM

Does a wing like that reduce visibility out the back? Seems like it would be annoying.

That wing looks so stupidly high, that I bet it is above the driver's line of sight.
It really is naff. I'd expect ricers to ask... um, is there something a bit more subtle available.

Pineapple 03-11-2012 12:54 PM

Is that colour supposed to be Hot Lava? Also, have there been any official word about this kit yet?

KyShro 03-11-2012 01:26 PM

As long as the car is lower that wing will look great. That thing sliding around sideways reminds me of the GP Sports S15 Silvia's with the stock high wing drifting in the Hot Version videos.... DOPE! :confused0068:

armythug 03-11-2012 01:49 PM

The wing doesn't bother me. I remember back in the early 90s seeing a wing similar to this on a Supra. It was shocking at first but it grew on me.

Stryker Trailwood 03-11-2012 02:15 PM

that isn't a new body kit, that is the same one from a while back that was on the blue and red 86's, huge wing and all. the black thing on the front looks like a license plate holder

i haven't seen that particular vinyl stripe before though.

:bellyroll:

Still want that wing though.

ahausheer 03-11-2012 04:02 PM

Surprised no one has commented on those gaudy things on the c pillar (or is it B pillar?, whatever), those are in such bad taste.

Good eye! :eyebulge: I didn't even see those. Yea, those gotta go....

zAnSh1n 03-11-2012 05:23 PM

the black crap on the front bumper reminds me of a teenager with braces...

the vinyl work doesn't flow with the car at all...

the stupid vortex generator esque, $14.99 @ pep boys junk on the c-pillar is just plain stupid...

rear deck spoiler is way too big for this car of size... worked great on the supra/3000gt vr4 since those cars were bigger and the spoiler streamlined the overall aesthetics of the vehicle...

i cannot complain too much about the actual height of the spoiler since it has to be that high to be functional, but that is only at track-like speeds [100mph+], which most people will rarely be able to take advantage of...

just86 03-11-2012 05:54 PM

heres a red one

If you have ever been to a track before with aero that tall, and it only works for you at 100+ mph, then you need to take it back and get your money back.

Proper aero works on the track even at 30mph. The whole misconception of track speed being 100+ mph always amazes me.

If track speed is "100+mph" then why do you think there are Rules/Classes in AutoX dictating what you are allowed to run in terms of Aero. If you have a spoiler then that's a lower class. If its a certain height then they consider it to be a wing and you are bumped into a higher class.

zAnSh1n 03-11-2012 06:27 PM

agreed to disagree ;]

Sasquachulator 03-11-2012 08:56 PM

Umm isnt that the same kit on the red and blue one that people assumed was "TRD" package?

Big wing, black things on the front grille (Yes if you havent noticed, those were also on those TRD red and blue ones)

the only difference is the hood stripes....and perhaps those thingies on the c pillar.

but yea, not a new kit, just different angles shown.

Speaking from experience personally, just FYI...

Edit post above. Meant to say if its a certain height, they consider it to be a wing. Spoilers are lower profile. Also even at long 150whp I benefited greatly from the APR GT 200 wing I run.

zAnSh1n 03-11-2012 11:10 PM

i don't know, and i don't care... about autoX

nothing fun about an open parking lot with a bunch of pylons scattered around...

to each his own ;]

tripjammer 03-12-2012 12:25 AM

Damn people fighting over a optional wing...wow! And a wing we have seen before..

LOL!

That's why I run track where I get into more than just 2nd gear. I was using AutoX as an example. Even on full track 100+mph is not the place where aero starts to work. It's more like 30.

Snoopyalien24 03-12-2012 09:02 AM

Can I haz the lip tho?

It's probably the nicest thing on there

Yes, it is called the aero kit.

Dragonitti 03-12-2012 12:28 PM

This the same Nurburg package kit.

they might have been accessories but believe those are for aredynamics when they wind pass through and goes directly to the wing... dont take my word for im just guessing

switchlanez 03-13-2012 03:12 AM

Yes this is the same kit we saw since the old camo spy vids around The Green Hell. I'm in favor of the front bumper and side skirts. ;)

[u2b]GltUy3nTn4E[/u2b]

I prefer the above Subie wheels over the current stock ones. I might just swap a set in. :)

just confirmed, those c pillar "canards" aren't on the red car with the nur kit from the pattaya thailand video, aren't on the red car shown in australia, the hot lava car shown in south africa, or the red or blue car shown at the japan 86 event. i can't tell if they are on the camo vln race car or not. as far as i know those are the only other times the nur kit has been seen. so they have only appeared on this dubai car. as far as function i have no idea what they would do.

SkullWorks 03-13-2012 02:22 PM

Guys I'm not sure there is anything on the C-pillar, it looks alot like a couple reflections to me....I can't see them from the head on shot only the side view...

cyde01 03-13-2012 02:36 PM

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...01/cpillar.jpg

highly doubt those are reflections. you can't see them from the front view because of the perspective. they're hidden behind the a pillar.
