Poll: Pepsi or Coke?

I just poured myself a glass of Pepsi, and thought this would be interesting to ask fellow members.

What's your poison?

Rootbeer.

Honestly... I think it really depends on the person.

Coke = more carbonated vs Pepsi = little less carbonated but bit sweeter.

BUT! If I had to choose between the two... It'd be coke.

sierra 07-11-2013 05:49 AM

Neither if you value your teeth and health.

monkie 07-11-2013 06:06 AM

Coke only for me

sklimo 07-11-2013 09:42 AM

Mellow Yellow

leon78 07-11-2013 09:43 AM

BEER!

Luis_GT 07-11-2013 11:47 AM

Coke... for my cuba libre!

whaap 07-11-2013 11:56 AM

Diet Pepsi all the way.

My kids and i buy niche non mainstream ~natural soda in specialty shops once in a while. We treat soda like wine tasting in our household:). Kinda like a thing to do with my kids. Its fun

m.wood0213 07-11-2013 12:59 PM

neither, water.

Depends on who's doing the commercial..
Taylor Swift with a Coke is hot! Brittney with a Pepsi was sexy too, back when she was still... well, sexy.
I could go for either

No picture of Michael Jacksons head on fire in the old Pepsi commercial? That's why I choose Pepsi... They'll f*cking burn people!

haha.. na I prefer blondes! :D

TylerLieberman 07-11-2013 01:56 PM

Dr Pepper

M-17 07-11-2013 02:17 PM

Don't mind either one. Don't drink that much soda or try not to at least.

If I saw both cans in the cooler and there's no beer around, I'd grab a Pepsi first.

Jeff86 07-11-2013 02:29 PM

Coke's a better drink mixer

b2autodesigns 07-11-2013 02:30 PM

No coke. Just beer or water :)

Nevermore 07-11-2013 02:37 PM

I've always drank coke, but I'm not particularly against Pepsi, I'll drink whichever is available, but coke is the first choice if both are available. More recently though I only drink soda if I'm eating out.

I will say this though, I was very disappointed this last summer when Pepsi started advertising using Santa Clause. I know it's a war with advertisement, but seriously, Santa is coke's thing. I might be alone on this, but it did make me hate Pepsi a little.

I recently had real root beer and it's awesome

Chee-Hu 07-11-2013 02:54 PM

I don't really drink soda, but if it's the only thing around to drink, I mostly go towards Pepsi. The carbonation in Coca Cola is too much for me.

Carl Fredricksen 07-11-2013 04:58 PM

just tied it up with a pepsi vote...definitely a lot smoother than coke

wheelhaus 07-11-2013 06:08 PM

And Pepsi takes the lead...

It holds it's taste better as it gets warm, so if I'm grabbing a bottle it's usually Pepsi or Dew. If it's on ice, I'll take either Pepsi or Coke, doesn't matter. If I'm mixing drinks I prefer Coke.

I voted coke, but I prefer the old Jolt Cola. :D

ihaskrayon 07-12-2013 02:59 AM

Pepsi > Coke

Coke products > Pepsi products

bkblitzed 07-12-2013 03:00 AM

water! :). Haven't had soda in a really long time.

Dadhawk 07-12-2013 10:59 AM

Shhhh, I have to say this quietly because I live in Atlanta but I've always preferred Pepsi over Coke (both in diet form). I'm not as particular as my wife though. If we go to a restaurant the conversation is:

What would you like to drink Ma'am.
Do you have Coke or Pepsi?
Coke
I'll have unsweetened tea please.

For the most part though, I mainline DMD (diet Mountain Dew). Pepsi is my fallback.

The one exception when I was younger is when I went with my Grandfather somewhere. We'd always have a Coke with a pack of roasted peanuts added to it.

Given a choice though I prefer RC Cola (does it even still exist) but only when served with a moon pie!

haha yea Coke has monopolized Atlanta for a while now. My brother-in-law works as a Pepsi distributor, and he has a tough time "breaking through" to businesses to get them to carry Pepsi.

It's funny because my work place is one of FEW companies in Atlanta that actually stocks mostly Pepsi products. We've got like 5 "fridge" sections in the main cafeteria that has only Pepsi drinks.. The Coke products are relegated to a vending machine in a secluded break room.

How long ago did you start the diet Pepsi? Is it relevant to of when you are of age?

When? It's been so long I really don't remember. Relevant? I never thought of it but it could be. I have always been a little too heavy into soda pop and certainly a person gets to a point in their life where they have to become more aware of calories and that could have been why I went to diet Pepsi. It's a lot like skim milk. I started drinking that probably 10 years ago for the same reason. In the beginning it tasted like 'you know what' but now if I drink whole mile or even 2% it's really blah!
