i just read on facebook from a mate that he saw the car on Mains Road just crossing Kessels road in Brisbane's south. He didnt take a photo, so could be false, BUT i hope its around here. i wanna see one 1st hand :D :D :D

That doesn't sound like it was too far from their Paradise Rd office over near Algester, so seems plausible?

i know that when i worked for a company in acacia ridge, it is in the same street where nissan main warehouse/office is and they had the leaf EV in our driveway taking photos (was the only drive way out of the whole street that had some greenery haha) this was a year ago and ev isnt realeased yet so, yeah its plausible. but yeah without a pic its hard to confirm anything :(

I doubt it would have been a sighting of one on Brisbane's South around Mains Road/Kessels.

I got an email from Toyota on Logan Road for an update on the car pasted straight from my email that was received on Monday:

"As we expected, first 86 is on the ship to Brisbane according to stock list.
It takes 2 weeks in the sea."

So chances are these would be very first cars to Brisbane which would most likely be the demo cars for each of the dealerships?

First car to Brisbane for sale doesn't mean first car to Brisbane period.

Sorry to change topic. Didn't want to make another new topic on the sub forum, it'll only be short.

I was reading about the Hyundai Veloster Turbo putting out 155KW (approx 207BHP) on news section of Carsales.com.au. You reckon 86 and flush the Veloster out? I doubt the 86 can flush Veloster on the straight, but as a circuit, 86 will run circles around the Hyundai i reckon. not sure if its FWD,RWD or AWD, just glanced at the article. I reckon some minor tuning on the 86 can beat the Veloster.

Veloster is a fwd, so I think the turbo model will be as well
I don't know if it will beat it in a straight even, the velsoter is quoted as being 2800lb while the 86 at 2700(average between the gt and gts)
Suspension wise in going to say 86 will be a MUCH better setup and will handle in a different league all together since the emphasis of the ft86 was and still is handling if I'm not mistaken
Thing to remember, power to weight is more important than pure power alone. Lower weight also means your car(if setup properly) can change direction much faster as well :)

Saw what was probably the same one yesterday. Usually see new models not long before launch in the area (saw new STi sedan a few weeks before it launched then the new Impreza) so must be getting close! :D

Doubt it's testing at this point, just the boys enjoying their new toys! ;)
