86/BRZ LED mirror 2 in 1
 

Came across these LED mirror DRL and indicators and decided to give a try to match the Valenti tails due to the tube design.

Installation was a little challenging, but end result I like the look it gives the 86.
I also ordered the tap flash relay off the forum, which prevents any hyper flashing and gives 4 various indicator flash modes.

Video? did you wire the puddle lights to come on with the dome light?

it does look good, these are helpful, especially for lowered frs/brz. how are they installed? double side tape?

These are replacement covers on the existing mirrors, which come in CF or painted direct from Japan.

I still need to wire this functionality up, ran out of time. Must locate which harness has the dome light wire to connect into.

yea, was not easy to install when i tried it, had to get the japanese manual translated too..
not to mention the US BRZ is missing the "option connector" which its where the puddle light signal should be wired to.

but the finished product looks very OEM, most people doesnt even noticed the difference.

I managed to get the instructions in PDF format and copied the Japanese text into google translate to ENGRISH:lol: which helped a little.:thumbsup:

I just ordered these from Diode Dynamics. No carbon fiber one until the end of august. Since i have chrome on my car and like the look i got a set for $299 + $5 for shipping. Should be on my door step in 3 days. Also they are already painted to match mmmm wrb!!!

Says it comes with usdm specific wiring instructions. So the wiring is different in
japan cars?

We'll be posting our full video installation guide shortly. Really not too bad, just takes a while. Wiring is done so the puddle light comes on with your map lights, front white comes on with parking lights, and of course amber comes on for turn signal. 5 wires total.

isnt lights always on (DRL or @ night) on the side mirrors illegal? i dont think i have ever seen a factory car where the side mirror lights serving a function other than turn indicators.

Is there anyway to still see the install video? I have these sitting in my garage for a few months. I want to install them but I'm a little confused on the wiring. Also the i cant seem to find any write up or anything about wiring the puddle light to turn on with the dome light.
