Yawn. $7,000 for coil overs and some utterly useless parts. Think of what you could do with $7,000 in the aftermarket.

Performance wise, you could do a lot better for much less than 7k without touching the motor. eg., tires, wheels, coilovers, and brake pads. |
It seems like every n/a 2 liter Japanese sports car offers a performance pkg that is expensive without power.
|
i really dislike that rear spoiler, looks too disproportionate to the rear
|
Would have to see it in person to decide. Hey if you got the money and like factory warranty and really want someone few will have, I see no problem for the added weight.

LMAO

That's a lotta money for a mediocre body kit, mediocre wheels, and some coilovers.

My wife likes it. Wonder if it will make it over here to check out.

I think the body kit looks nice.
|
For that price, I added everything plus the STi exhaust and some additional goodies...so yeah just do it yourself

At $7k it shows pretty well just how expensive a turbo model of the FRZ would be.

Oh my.... for that price I rather get the Rocketbunny kit and just call it a day
|
The problem with that $35k logic is that Scion could easily market a supercharged FRS for $29-30k. The only person that would think a bump to $35k makes any sense is someone that considers Porsche's pricing strategy the standard of the industry.

You seem to think that I am arguing about what Toyota/Subaru could do. Don't get me wrong, I think that they definitely could come out with a turbo trim for $5k. I just think they won't and I think the price of this BRZ S package is some good evidence for that. |

Honestly I would just look at the pricing for the impreza to get an idea of what an actual brz sti would be priced at: WRX starts at about 26k, STI starts at about 34k. So a 7k-8k premium sounds about right. And no, the brz s is not by any indication what the sti would be like. Again, all those parts are accessories. STI has been releasing parts like these across their full like of subarus for a long time. We just don't see them usually outside JDM.
That 7k extra for the S model is really paying a premium to have everything covered by your warranty and insurance. It's peace of mind that parts are built, received, and installed without issue. So yes, while I built my car to that spec for a lot cheaper, all my parts are gray market. Even through japanparts, they forewarn that they are NOT liable if parts are damaged even upon receipt. This was definitely nerve racking for me when my exhaust was being shipped considering how expensive the part is. Also, I was recently involved in a small accident that damaged one of my side sills, so yes, I have to replace my set out of pocket. If you look at STI parts through bulletproof auto versus japanparts or nigel, they are actually hundreds more and that's because bulletproof will warranty their items for a certain time period; that's why its more expensive. |

Does the spring same as JDM STI one?
http://www.sti.jp/parts/catalogue/br...0330AS000.html I feel one looks pink and the other is red. Thanks. Quote:
