It seems like that might be the asphalt instead of the black. Unless toyota isn't offering the same colors as scion. Tough to say. Boy it does look good though.

First off those are some beautiful pictures Hachi. Thank you!! I am now even more torn on what colour I want. I was originally torn between white or asphalt but blue and orange look really good. Plus I really want my car to say "TOYOTA 86" on the back, not "Scion FR-S"

And I think this marks the first Official release of the 0-60 time: 6.9 seconds. I've certainly not seen it before now.

What part of the car is the paint closeup shot? Trying to figure out where that trim piece is, or was that a protective piece for the show?

Yes, it's just black. The camera picked up the metallic flakes so much under the show lights that it comes off lighter than it actually is in some photos.

That's it..my FR-S will look just like a GT 86! I am glad the black is not a flat black by a metallic black! I am going that color for sure now.

The paint closeup shot is the hood. You can see the hood line in the image.

That is the orange (hot lava). The red has a cherry red color to it

See if Scion offered these things, I would not mind considering the FRS, but (for me) I would like the DRL/HID combo and Leather/Alcantara - that is all!

Black: I guess I'm the only one that HATES HATES HATES the super flakey metallic black. Idk Black cars should be BLACK...a simple black gloss is the best it can ever get.

That blue...my god that blue is gorgeous...took me about 7 minutes just to write this because I couldn't stop looking at it.

That was 0-100kph, not 0-60mph. Depending where the shift point is, the 0-60mph time could be 0.2-0.3s faster.

yeah ive read a couple reviews of 27xx lbs and a couple reviews at 2800 lbs but 2600lbs? congrats toyota and subaru :D

I am def. considering WRB first, then GBS, then SWP/DGM, and then Hot Lava/H8r Orange. I have come to appreciate the orange quite a bit!

They opened the exposure on the frame to see the depth in the paint. By allowing more light to hit the sensor of the camera, it gets the different layers of paint.

This looks like a very good paint job and every vehicle (pre-production) hasn't shown noticeable imperfections.

wait wait wait... 2600lbs gross weight(loaded with passengers)? whats the dry weight then(nothing in the car but a tank of gas)?
in europe, the differences in gross and dry are the same in america right?

it might be a typo

I doubt Toyota would let a typo slip by at an event like this
