Kansas City/Missouri SPOTTED?!
 

Well... I might as well make a thread here, because I've been spotting a few here and there, including one guy that I see 2-3 times every week...

Soooo

First, 2-3 times out of the week I always see a hot lava with black racing strips heading the opposite direction of me on the 435 freeway.


Second, today (6-29-2013) around 11 pm spotted a white FRS at the Wyandotte County Lake Park. I waved few times, also drove next to you, seems like you did not notice me....

Pretty sure I know that Hot Lava guy with stripes. And I know a few white FR-Ses. A group of us were at Fast Fridays (KC Trends Motorsports in Overland Park) yesterday.

I've seen a few blue ones around that might be yours. There is a couple of facebook groups if you search KC FR-S BRZ.

Event was a hell of a lot of fun. It was awesome to finally let the BRZ stretch it's legs a bit. I love this car!

Not a fan of facebook but I may eventually have to rejoin under a stealth account just to participate in the club!

I feel the same about Facebook but have a firestorm in Liberty.

It's where most of our conversing happens. Just be stealthy and have a club only account!

Yeah the group FB is where we organize meets, sell parts, and just BS lol. @usdmnotjdm and @WelshJ I'll start posting any big stuff happening in the area in this thread so that you guys are in the know. I should be organizing one or two things that'll happen in the next month or so. Hope to see you guys!

I just spotted GOT BRZ on 435 around 4:20 :D

My car is in Shawnee being cared for while I'm stationed in Japan. If you see an Asphalt Monogram that's probably mine. Also if anyone wants to help install some air suspension shoot me a PM! I can let my buddy know who is watching the car for me.

Any members doing the Heartland Park Touring Club road course events?

Been thinking about joining. Only past track time is a few passes at KCIR (RIP)

I'm not part of the touring club but I am a member of NASA Central Region. We are racing there at the end of the month.

i wish they would build another track here in KC. I dont feel like driving out to topeka everytime i wanna get in a few runs. :/

Figured I'd drop in and say hi. I just picked up a 2014 Raven, no options. It's been a fun ride so far. Would love to go to a meet if one happens around my schedule. I'm pretty busy with work, wife and baby on the way, but hopefully I can make it!

edit: a bit more about myself,

I sold my 2010 CR-Z to get this car having just moved back from Boston to start work as an engineering consultant (mechanical, nuclear plants). I've owned a few interesting rides over the year, the most fun being a 2006 YZF-R6 and a 2006 WRX STi. Almost all my cars have been light and small and the FR-S measures up after some test drives, loaners and having about 50 miles on mine. Just shout out in a PM here and I'll try to reply. Hope to meet some of you guys on the road or elsewhere.

Just picked up my first FRS from SOCAL last week. I live in Lees Summit, work in downtown and have in laws in Leawood. You'll see me around! Feel free to say hi. I'm usually a nice guy. Haha

The car is Steel Gray and for now is bone stock other than Gunmetal RPF1 whees going on in a week or so. I don't plan on doing much in exterior mods...
