Another Vandalism Thread

Hi, sorry about making another one of these, but I've been struck as well. It looks pretty mindless, and I'm pretty sure the only tool they had was a pen. I guess it's not as bad as it could've been, but still sucks that someone decided to just ruin my day like this. And it may have even been my own fault since this was the first day I left my new cell phone mount attached to the window.

How I found it. Some rocks in the bumper too.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps5b98b4b6.jpg

Took my plastic off just below the windshield. They also left some muddy gunk near the wipers.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps1726cbf4.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps576558cb.jpg

A rusty nut on the roof.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps134bfe17.jpg

Took my weather stripping. And left the pen they were using.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps5247cc59.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps45bac787.jpg

Tried to get the pen into the lock it looks like. It's all marked up.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0ec49f82.jpg

Scratched the driver side quarter panel.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps26be6479.jpg

Rocks just sitting on the trunk. I didn't see any damage.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps3d4cb22b.jpg

Random just left under the plate. They also pulled the plate and bent it up.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...psfe247458.jpg

They scratched my driver side window too, but I couldn't get it to show up in a picture. They also used the pen to draw circles around the suction cup on the phone mount on the windshield.

jooks 06-28-2013 10:19 PM

So frustrating... I bet the culprits have no idea how expensive this kind of damage is to repair or how badly it can ruin someone's day, week or month.

Wes 06-28-2013 10:35 PM

What a tool.. if i knew who it was i would shove all those rocks and pens up their arses. Like did they think that was going to be funny like wtf.. but its cool he's gonna have karma going his way..

Simpleviet 06-28-2013 10:36 PM

Wow.... took it a lot farther then just simply scratching.... horrible.

dem00n 06-28-2013 10:41 PM

Thats fucked.

No cameras in the area or anything? Ask the school?

E46toFT86 06-28-2013 10:42 PM

WOW. WTF is wrong with people now a days. No hope for the human race. I hope who ever is responsible will share a jail cell w/ Aaron Hernandez in the near future. Douchebags.

BadMoon 06-28-2013 10:43 PM

This is horrible. Sorry man.

Bt216 06-28-2013 10:44 PM

Wow that fuck up my day and everything

Brently 06-28-2013 10:45 PM

I'm really very sorry to read about this. I always worry about my cars too... I hope you can use your comprehensive deductible and get it fixed. I know this is trite, but when something senseless like this happens to me I try to think about how maybe the vandal might not kill or torture an animal now, or maybe they did it because they have been abused and were just looking to take out their anger.

I'm sorry you are going through this.

Two years ago I walked out of a mall to find my new car on fire in a parking lot. I know how sick something like this can make you feel.

I think I'm going to stop in at the UPS hub across the street and see if they have any exterior cameras that point towards my work place lot. That or if they saw anyone doing it. They place is pretty busy so I find it hard to imagine no workers saw something.

TylerLieberman 06-28-2013 10:47 PM

I never understood why people go through the trouble of doing this. How much time was spent going to each body panel of the car to leave the damage that was left? Idk what people expect to gain out of doing shit like this to other people.

Pisses me off.

What's more frustrating is I'm willing to bet somebody saw whoever did this at some point in time considering how scattered the damage is across the car. They chose not to say or do anything about it. People don't want to get involved and do the right thing by notifying somebody. I'm disgusted by what our society has become over recent years.

Hopefully it all gets fixed without a big headache or having to break the bank

y2janz2 06-28-2013 10:47 PM

damn that's horrible. sorry =(

Well, whoever owns the parking lot should be told.

They'll have to do something, maybe install cameras if you raise enough hell.

Who knows what they do or were thinking. It doesn't look like they put much thought into it. It could have been a lot worse, I suppose, so there's that to think about at least. It's crazy that you came out to your car on fire. That would've floored me.

It's quite possible they were seen. The area the lot is in isn't very busy, but the UPS hub across the street is always active. I'm betting they were shoo'd away though, or else they might have done more damage. You just never know with this type of stuff.

They have a little booth and attendant that watches the cars because they've had trouble before, but I don't think he's there all day. I saw him in the morning when I parked my car, but I think he leaves part way through the day. I'll let my supervisor know on Monday when I go to work.

Brndn704 06-28-2013 10:59 PM

I am truly sorry. People have no respect for others belongings. I really hate that this happened to you.

feldy 06-28-2013 11:04 PM

Very sad to see this. It pisses me off and it's not my car. I spent the last few minutes thinking to myself how much face bashing I would do if I ever seen this to my own car.

D4S 06-28-2013 11:05 PM

"Don't fuck with another man's vehicle, it's just against the rules."

Cyau 06-28-2013 11:07 PM

Be aware of your surrounding when you get out of the car every time.

I believe whoever is doing these kind of thing usually KNOWS for a fact that the owner left his/her car, then they move up and do their thing knowing at least for a while the owner won't be back.

Look out for suspicious people.

Razz 06-28-2013 11:09 PM

There is a 90% chance the person did it knows you.

Spend allot of time thinking who it could be and change your attitude or avoid them.

midnightfrolic 06-28-2013 11:19 PM

If someone did that to my car, I'd probably go off the deep end and go berserk.

sorry to hear dude.

The problem is where I park is a company lot, all those vehicles are out there all day every weekday. It's pretty easy for anyone to predict when they have a chance to mess with one. It's likely this was more random than anything. The car has been in that lot everyday for the last few months. The only thing different about today was the phone mount on my windshield.

Not likely. No body I know knows where that lot is. And I work in a law firm with a bunch of business types, not likely any of them did something this mindless. It was most likely some punk, or crazed homeless person. The area the lot is in isn't the best. I've always been nervous about leaving it out there. I'll probably get a paid pass for a garage closer to work again now.

Luis_GT 06-28-2013 11:30 PM

That sucks, man.

thill 06-29-2013 01:13 AM

This makes my blood boil. I honestly hope this never happens to me and I happen to catch the person(s) who did it. I would probably go Aaron Hernandez on them....

Dc68bird 06-29-2013 01:28 AM

Sorry, man......I have never understood why people do these things to others.

shiumai 06-29-2013 01:35 AM

that's totally f'd up. i'm sorry you have to go through this.
i'm wondering if just putting a sign on the dash when we leave the car that says 'smile, you're being recorded on dashcam' would be a deterrent?

mush 06-29-2013 01:42 AM

How sad

CTB727 06-29-2013 01:57 AM

Wow that is so fucked up. Sounds like somebody is truly screwed up in the head. If I ever caught somebody touching my car, I'd probably end up facing charges, lol.

Symmetrical 06-29-2013 02:59 AM

What the fuck kind of mindless shit is that.

I experienced my own piece of unnecessary hate this past week. Some super ghetto old lexus parked right next to me about 1.5feet away, the passenger just happen to swing open the door at full speed or something and left a 12" long crease/dent on my driver's side door.

God damn haters/inconsiderate people.

I don't understand the sacrificial offering under your license plate. It's like vandalism mixed with cultism, and a big bag of crack cocaine.

SC David 06-29-2013 04:41 AM

That is just really odd vandalism. Looks like someone made a sacrificial shrine to the god of meth, using your car as the centerpiece. Like, wtf is on your rear bumper. Not one, but two water bottle caps, a flower, part of an iPhone charger and a flower? Dafuq?!

tech4pdx 06-29-2013 04:56 AM

Imagine if this had happened in Singapore. They don't f-ck around.

That is fucked up...imagine if it was vodoo craft of some kinds ?

This remind me of buying indash cameras for the doors and dash front when i park for a new sport car, always turn it on when i leave it parked....

I feel bad for you. Honestly i would freaking find that guy and tazer him senselessly, then pull out a pistol and say "next time it wont be a tazer, but a vandalism from my pistol to your balls, got it ?"

Rampage 06-29-2013 07:51 AM

Looks like kids to me. The damage and the stuff thrown on the car is so random. I would bet on bored teenagers.

One of the first things my dad said when I got home was, "Man, those crackheads make terrible car thieves."

It's quite possible. The randomness of it, and actual lack of any serious damage (Dents, broken windows, lights) just makes it seem like they weren't trying to get into the car at all. They just wanted to mess up my day.

X STi C 06-29-2013 10:13 AM

Feel for you man. Makes my stomach turn. Hope it all gets fixed! From one KY owner to another.

PStaff716 06-29-2013 12:02 PM

I can't believe this shit actually happened to you. I really don't understand the weird ass offering to the meth gods, either...

Coulda been some young punks or a crazy ex gf as some have stated but if there isn't one particular enemy that you thought of right off the bat then you most likely got fucked with by youngins looking for shit to do in the summer time or some drug addicted weirdo who thought your car was a sacrificial shrine. Either way it's sickening and I hope your car ends up looking even better than it did. Props for not going Hernandez on the first person you saw lol..

Basket Case 06-29-2013 03:23 PM

All I have to say is I hope this never happens to me because that is probably one of the few things that would really set me off...

hmong337 06-29-2013 03:30 PM

Pure scum-baggery right there! KARMA, it will catch up...

PSJohnDoe 06-29-2013 03:30 PM
