FA20CLUB 57 Trim Turbo Kit Results Automatic 7 PSI

Just finished up another local customer this morning. Did a few pulls on the dyno today with just wastegate pulls. Did push her too hard since end goal is E85 in 2 weeks after the customer returns from his vacation. Boost is strong down low and responds quickly even when driven in full auto mode. Customer mods are as follows:
  • FA20CLUB 57 Trim Kit
  • Stock Front Pipe
  • Custom Exhaust System
  • Pump 93 Octane
  • 7 PSI Wastegate Spring

Any boost graphs? Looks good

lbroskee 06-27-2013 09:43 AM

does the 60 trim really make that much more power with less PSI and OEM exhaust?

FA20Club.com 06-27-2013 10:41 AM

this was also an auto gotta keep that in mind

FullTuneZN6 06-27-2013 01:50 PM

i dont see any fuel upgrades on his list of mods up there ^....stock pump/injectors?

FA20Club.com 06-27-2013 09:36 PM

has pump and injectors those dont count as a power adder. car will be on e85 in a couple weeks so they were installed along with the kt

But they do count towards cost and installation difficulty if required to support the air being delivered. The car has them, but did it need them or are they just there because the car is sometimes a test mule for systems that do need them?

you don't need either at that power level, as far as i know. definitely don't need the pump, the injectors possibly, i'm not completely sure. i'm running just injectors on the stock pump at that power level turbo'd.

it take all of 10 minutes for us to install injectors and 20 for the pump. since we work on cars daily i dont consider many thing difficult. for the novice install an intake can be challenging. for this power level as stated before not needed. above 270-280whp needed. we have just as many kits out there with/without fuel upgrades all running quite nicely

Off the dig I had my traction on so when I hit the gas and pealed out my car stalled on me, if I had traction off I don't think he'll pull as much on me in the beginning. This kit is awesome thanks Toni for all the help I can't wait to get back and raise boost and e85 tune. I'll have some more vids tonight hopefully.

DriftEightSix 07-11-2013 11:42 PM

Love to see some more results really loving this kit.

FA20Club.com 07-12-2013 01:15 AM

we had one make 281hp last week in canada user "86pro" has his thread here as well

DriftEightSix 07-13-2013 05:09 PM

He looks to be on 60 trim

empower-auto 07-13-2013 05:24 PM

This seems like a pretty good transmission. What is the estimated powertrain loss for the auto?

pixel67 07-18-2013 08:50 AM

Really liking this setup! I have narrowed the field down to the 57 trim kit and Innovate. Any e85 numbers yet?

FA20Club.com 07-18-2013 08:56 AM

early next week the kit gets turned up on pump and e85

pixel67 07-22-2013 08:32 PM

After waffling back and forth over getting Innovate Kit or 57 Trim Kit, I just hit the order button on the 57 Trim kit along with the flex fuel kit. That super flat torque curve of this kit sold me... And now the waiting begins!

mrk1 07-22-2013 08:46 PM

So there are dynos out for the 60 and 57, how would the 50 trim look?

I asked this too.

People have ordered them and yet to install and run on a dyno.

Any news on how much this kit likes corn? :burnrubber:

ft_sjo 08-02-2013 10:44 AM

@FA20Club.com Assuming it never gets to 19% humidity in Florida in the summer (or ever?), any particular reason you're deliberately reading low on your dyno? (going by the above chart).. IIRC STD correction uses RH..

Andy@FA20Club 08-02-2013 11:39 AM

What would be a comparison or bases to say it is reading low.

A dyno would correct higher if the humidity was higher..

FWIW, I dynoed in a different dyno shop than Tony's aforementioned graph (South FL too). According to the weather report that day, it was 90% humidity but the Dyno sheet read 47%... :iono:

FA20Club.com 08-02-2013 12:19 PM

i think he meant what final numbers are you comparing these results to or are you just asking a question based on potential humidity affecting the CF

It was just a general question around the low RH reading which may (negatively) affect the corrected figure (which is shown on your graph above).
