Looks great! Does the orange look more like red, or is that just in the picture?

It actually is red, it's not orange. We had to make part number names, and when we saw the original photo when working with the manufacturer, we thought it was orange, and just called it that. Now that the part numbers are basically all finalized, it's tough to change to black/red, so we're sticking with black orange for now until we can potentially change it on the next batch we're going to have made more than likely. It is for sure red though, not orange.

PAutoX 06-25-2013 03:40 PM

Awesome, looks fantastic! I may have to order a set.

I thought the same thing when I ordered them, but I saw other pictures like mine, and they sure are red. No worries.

@mboory

Any pics with the lights off in the daytime?

cdo221 06-25-2013 07:36 PM

Looks really good, question though, are the turn signals easy to see during the day? Do they get washed out by the day light or are they very visible?

DoomsdayJesus 06-25-2013 08:26 PM

I was confused with the orange too, got clarification and mine should be here in a couple days. Looks gorgeous.

Thanks, and the way the named the light says it is black and orange, but the lights shine red when turned on. It is just the name they gave them. If you have any more questions let me know.

Well I live just north of Pittsburgh, PA. This past week we have had a lot of rain, and the car was sitting out and driven through it. I have not had any problems with them at all, and if I do I will post it on this thread.

I've had em on since they came out. I think I was the second installed in the US, after the beta tester. No condensation, ever. :happy0180:

Whoa that is incredibly nice! How dark is it in the daytime? I want dark taillights but I rather have the insides painted black than a tint.. Mostly because I don't want to be pulled over or have someone blame my taillights that they couldn't see my car or something. Not sure about CA Laws but I'm pretty positive people have been pulled over for tinted tail lights.

Actually, the smoked outside gives them better contrast during the day vs. not being smoked. LEDs tend to be hard to see in daylight. However, the smoked lense "darkens" the area in front of them, making them easier to see. Hope that makes sense.

Lets say if you turn off the lights in the day time is it completely blacked out? Like you see no red at all? Or do you have to have Daytime running lights in order for people to see your red taillights? For example the sig in post #3, their taillights are completely blacked out, that's not what I want to see in the daytime at all.

I posted what they look like during the day, with the turn signals and brake lights on. You can take a look on page 1.

Just to be clear, we are talking specifically about the Valentis now...

There's a red strip, but its not really visible. The lense is dark enough that you don't see it unless you are up close. Pics can be deceiving too, flash or sunlight can make the red strip more visible.

Hmm maybe a little too dark :(

Do you guys have laws or get pulled over for dark taillights like that in your state? I heard a lot of people around here gets pulled over by CHP for a fix it ticket and I even heard people lose insurance claims because of the tint. These look beautiful though!

I've been pulled over and they never said anything about the lights. Been given shit for no front license plate, smoked plate covers, and the temporary PA tag on my window, but the cops never said anything about the tails. IDK about CA though.

Apparently it's illegal in CA and New York also but it's not something that is strictly enforced so it's all within your luck also. Sorta like tinted front windows pass the legal tint. Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not.. I'll wait for a black painted taillights inside. I really like the design of these Valenti lights and hope they will release one like that.

Suffa 06-27-2013 11:44 PM

So sexy, cant wait to get a set & the reverse light.

I've had philly cops directly tell me to get license plate covers because registration sticker theft sucks there. They also told me to get a tint job after my car was broken into because it hides your stuff.

Also, did you wire the flashing light in the bar? Can't find instructions.
