TRD 86 Racing is Toyota 86... or they're talking bout AE86? Either way I'm pre-ordering it!

Barbarian 06-24-2013 05:54 PM

I think it will be the AE86. Still excited

CAMBAM_6 06-24-2013 07:29 PM

concept????

Luis_GT 06-24-2013 07:48 PM

I'm preordering

Bristecom 06-24-2013 07:54 PM

I wonder how many times this game will be delayed?

GeorgeJFrick 06-24-2013 08:07 PM

They lost me... delays, delays and delays. Then GT5... sigh. GT5 consists of waiting for menus. Menu Staring 5.0; with cars you have to buy in the PSN store!
I have a ps4 on reserve with Drive Club and we'll see how that plays out. If GT6 turns out to be awesome, I'll buy it and be back on board with Polyphony. But no more holding my money an extra year or so and then giving me a product I dislike.

Touge_ninja 06-24-2013 08:14 PM

Year 2019 GT6 is delayed still

Gost 06-25-2013 12:38 AM

I'm more interested in what the collector's edition will have to offer.

The Robot Cow 06-25-2013 02:28 AM

What if it's Tsuchiya's Levin N2 race car?
It was backed by Trd(i think) and built by the late and amazing Sakurai-san.

autogyro 06-25-2013 03:52 AM

Couldn't be the 86, it was still the FT-86 concept in 2009 - if we're talking 2008 it'd be that imprezza test mule. Probably the AE86, then.

Also, GT6 needs more sanctioned series or at least proper, points based fictional series. Tired of these trophy based seasonal events of like 3-5 races at 5 laps each, 12 cars max...

Concept came out in 2010 i believe, earliest late 09

CAMBAM_6 06-25-2013 01:33 PM

I hope polyphony takes a little something from Turn 10..Forza is so much better then GT5. More tuning options and you can put wheels on EVERY CAR not just new cars from the dealership.. Engine swaps are fun to;) Only problem is i dont think i want the xbox one over the ps4 :iono:

FT-86 Concept first shown Oct 2009 at TMS... but don't forget, the first concept of this car was FT-HS & shown in 2007 at NAIAS. ;)

Also iirc, Concept did race in VLN 24hrs race (took 2nd or 3rd).

Yeah but the FT-HS was a 400Hp hybrid concept, there was also a turbocharged FT-86 G Sports version in 2010 that was supposed to come with Recaros and other goodies ;)

Is GT6 a PS3 or PS4 game?

I won't be buying any PS3 games anymore.. I'll wait for the new system games to trickle out... granted the pS4 will still play the old games... I just don't want to spend money on the old ones.. I think the new ones will be noticably better.. so I'll wait.

Except that GT5 is far superior in it's realism as a driving simulator.

Depends on how your playing, if your playing GT5 with the 200$ steering wheel in cockpit mode then maybe so, but other then that Forza is Superior as a simulator..I have both games and have been a fan of GT since the beggining but GT5 SUCKS point blank when compared to Forza 4

ichitaka05 06-25-2013 08:14 PM

Let's not go into another GT vs Forza thread

Drive club is free* with the ps+ subscription, which is needed for online multiplayer. Didn't know if you knew that.

*free as in as long as your a subscriber to ps+.

i dont know if i could disagree more. i think that forza is a more entertaining game as far as finish and variety and tunability goes but gt just feels so much better while driving. i miss the days of gt2 requiring racing the sunday cup thirty or so times in order to buy a decent car. the ability to generate so much cash and just have beast cars was annoying...all that concern goes away when you drive a decently set up car in gt5

It is the 'intro' version of drive club; not complete.

Either way I am a ps+ subscriber.

I have a driving cockpit with a lot of money in it. It is so absurd I will never get laid again. I plugged in GT5 after a year and it is horrible. Very disappointing from a driving perspective. Its eye candy once a track finally loads.

Its not a sim, I wont be pre ordering until a valid release date is announced and reviews show its not just more of the same.

You can disagree all you want but your arguement is about money im talking about Tuning and Driving Cars..Forza is a driving simulator and just as realistic (arguebly even more IMO) then GT5...Like i said im a long time GT fan i own every version even the prologue and the GT Steering wheel, but IMO the latest two Forzas have been overall better games in every aspect, except maybe Graphics, especially on night courses GT5 takes the cake...As far as money is concerned it is easier to earn money in Forza but that doesnt take away from the difficulty of the game whatsoever because of the car ranking system..you always have limits for certain races

I will just leave this here:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYR9kjghG5w"]Tiff Needell Reviews Sim Racers - YouTube[/ame]

I think if you are talking about "sim" on console(PC has better options) GT is the way to go, but as an overall "game" Forza is better.

I've been a long time fan of GT and personally prefer it, but some of Forza's features (tuning, customizing, auction house) are interesting additions that help the game feel more fun.
