Subaru Emblem on Fr-S?

For some odd reason I was thinking of putting the subaru emblem on the front of my FR-S and putting a Toyota emblem on the back. Question is will the Subie emblem fit? Make my car a real Toyobaru.

I gotta ask, why? That'll ruin everything. That's like a Honda emblem in the front and Acura emblem in the back.. in my personal opinion it's not a good look.

I feel like I read somewhere that the Subaru and Toyota/Scion pins align differently but are the same size... if that is true, then you could do it if you snap off the 2 pins in the back of the Subaru emblem before sticking it on.

People Are Already Confused About What The Car Is And This Would Kill Them. Lol. It Would Look Nice Though

Not sure about this, but if so, it would only be the case for the front badge. The rear piece should line up as the trunk fascia is the same for both vehicles.

I'm going to have an extra rear badge next week. I ordered new ones to open up and repaint. No extra front one, cus I broke it lol

if I get a Scion I will get rid of those Scion badges first thing after getting home and putting Subaru badges.

dem00n 06-20-2013 10:59 PM

I'd do just to confuse people.

Would love to put a Toyota badge up front, Subaru in the back and leave the Scion on the steering wheel.

Hehe....

I think Scion to Toyota badge swapping is fine, but Scion to Subaru may be stretching it a bit.. Well I guess theres a dude on here that put a Ferrari badge so what ever floats your boat bro. Just expect mass hate if you post a pic of it here.. It will be:

"God, why.."
"Its his car, his money, he can do what ever he wants to do wit it!!!"
"DIAF"

LOL, i actually really wanted to do this as well, let me know how it looks, im still on the edge

djdnz 06-21-2013 09:45 AM

I don't believe it will work on the front. It might work on the rear.

Rayme 06-21-2013 09:47 AM

I used to have a DX 98 hatch with a Type-R badge on the back.

Guy in our club has done all Subie badges including centre caps on the wheels on his 86 next time I see him I will try and find out if the lined up

They seem to fit fine he is also using the BRZ fender garnishs too.

Asked why he did it and his reply "Toyota badges look shithouse" lol

Perihelion 06-25-2013 07:34 AM

The bad thing about the subaru enblems is customizing them, toyota/scion u just plastidip that shit. For subaru, you gotta tear it apart and strip the paint PITA

I would to purchase a Toyota GT 86 rear trunk badge, price to including shipping to South Africa, The shipping cost to South Africa is too high.

Thanks

People don't know the Subaru badge. I visited someone who I hadn't seen in a few years, he noted the car and was telling me that he would go with the Subaru version. I quietly listened as he walked round the front of the car clocking the badge. He then casually walks round the back and only then realises that what he's been looking at is a Subaru!! The colour (WRB) wasn't a giveaway and nor the front badge.

Generally people are ignorant of car types, badges or makes.. The only people who will note your deceit will be other car fanatics and they'll probably assume that the driver of strange badging combo is kid supporting a low IQ hence drives a FRS suffering from a split personality.

I think it's cool to have the Scion badges, mainly because they don't sell the cars with them anymore. I take pride in driving the greatest scion badged car to ever exist. Also the scion badge will be a little piece of 86/BRZ history that can't be forgotten. Keep the scion badge and FRS name with pride.
