Awesome! I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to hear these are available.

King Tut 06-17-2013 03:08 PM

Very cool. Will there be options for the turbo and downpipe flanges for various style turbos?

In the future, yes

velin86 06-17-2013 03:27 PM

Great idea guys!

jamesm 06-17-2013 03:37 PM

The only thing is suggest is that the vband offering would be more suitable. Because vband are awesome and it opens up the turbo selection a bunch. Gaskets are so last decade ;).

ModBargains.com 06-17-2013 03:42 PM

Really awesome idea. You guys just keep getting better and better... Nice work!

I will take my 4 bolt and a gasket over needing perfectly machined surfaces and a pesky V band clamp anyday. Just because it is 2000s bling, doesn't mean it is better.

I've had plenty enough issues with turbo manifold gaskets in the past that ill gladly never deal with again. What is more 'pesky' about a vband clamp than 4 nuts and bolts? I've never seen, or even heard of, anyone having issues with vbands leaking. Gaskets are a constant source of aggrevation anywhere they exist, at least in my experience. Maybe it's my experience building 2 strokes that has predisposed me to hate them lol.

Virtually everything in your engine is required to be perfectly machined to work properly. Borla owners can tell you that gaskets don't negate that ;).

As long as the person welding the V-band flanges does the job right, and doesn't warp the flanges, than they are awesome and far superior to the bolts and gasket method.

Also way easier to do fabrication and installation/removal

I have installed multiple Miata and Subaru exhausts with bling V band flanges that were an absolute pain in the ass to get lined up well enough to get the V band to clamp. I have lots of gaskets in my exhaust. They all work great.

My experience is the exact opposite. My subaru (bug eye wrx) was a pita to change the crappy gasket that came with my uppipe (and didn't seal worth a damn). My miata (mazdaspeed) had a custom vband setup that was on and off a dozen times with no issue.

I guess the lesson here is that they all suck, it's just which area of suckiness to prefer to avoid, alignment or sealing lol.

The V-band would be our Premium manifolds and those will be available for purchase soon as well.

We use 3" and 2.5"

We are not sure on the divided manifolds yet.

extreme-86 07-01-2013 06:21 AM

Is that a T3 or T25 flange ?

FullBlown 07-01-2013 04:38 PM

T3

Toma 07-01-2013 05:04 PM

Edit. Apparently I can't read. Lol. Sorry.

bakerr6 07-01-2013 05:39 PM

FullBlown 07-08-2013 11:44 AM

We will have pricing for the premium up soon.

Ok @FullBlown, now that I have fully decided on your kit, could this also work to slowly piece together your entire kit? I may not have the funds today to buy your base package out of the gate, but I could get the manifold and down pipe, then in a few months the intercooler and so on. Or is it priced better to just buy your base kit all at once? Im just trying to find the best option for me. I would like to make this all happen and installed by next summer if possible. Let me know or PM me if you like.

Buying a complete product is almost always more affordable than piecing it together over time. Why not just put money aside somewhere to eventually have the funds for the entire thing? It isn't as though you could run any of the components without the completion of them all like you could with headers and other supporting mods with the eventuality of running a SC. Just save.

Ian, It would save you some money to just buy the whole kit. We only offered the hot and cold parts separately, because some guys had a preference for what turbo they wanted to use.
