Side marker feature
 

So I was swapping some LEDs and was running into an issue and by accident I found a neat feature of the side markers.
If your front turn signal bulbs go out the side marker actually flashes as the turn signal for that side.
Some people have done mods to have the side markers flash along with the turn signals .. They may have ruined this function. Anyone with this mod want to take one of the front bulbs out and try this feature?

so if i disconnect the wire to the front turn signal in the BRZ (located in headlight btw), it'll blink the side marker?

Wonder how easy it would be to make both bulbs blink at the same time.

that's for the FRS though, i'm not sure the BRZ is wired the same considering the front turn signal is in the headlight enclosure. i'll have to re-read that thread though.

All your doing is splicing the power wire.. Once you find that its just cut and splice.

I wouldn't do it if your running LED turn signals or clear markers.. That shit is seriously bright in the dark

you can just rewire everything like me and have the side markers be the blinker and the front lights just stay on :)

search for gt86 wiring because mine blink the front, back and fender from the day 0 without doping anything

Did you follow the DIY side marker with blinker install posted above or another follow another method?

I did the DIY but used a switchback led for the side markers :happy0180:

wheres the DIY for this? that pretty sweet! the switchback bulb that you used for the side markers are they the same size compared to the front? and does it ruin any other light function i.e. bulb dont blink when you turn on alarm or lock the car.
