Patrick@Ptuning's Firestorm 6MT FR-S Build

Waited a long time for this car... finally got one on March 28.

http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/...ps906dcede.jpg

First mod I did was the Ptuning plate relocation to remove that dealership plate bracket they mounted on my front bumper by drilling holes into it..

http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/...sd2bc01b5.jpeg

Decided to throw the car on the dyno before I begin putting mods on to get a baseline number.

First performance mod!

http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4f24aeed.jpg

Hated the way the rear bumper cut-outs looked so empty with the tiny exhaust tips so I decided to get an exhaust.

http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/...psc22108eb.jpg

http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5197b205.jpg

Decided to finally test out my car with traction control off on a non-public road.

Factory ride-height pic before I put my suspension on.

I decided to go with some Eibach Sportline springs for now untill I get enough money together for some Fortune coilovers.

The drop is not too low, 1.4"

Would like to go lower sometime with some Fortune 500 coilovers, but I just gotta space out the spending for now due to funds.. Pretty satisfied with the way it sits with the springs for now though.

Really nice so far! I look forward to seeing how your build turns out, so I could get a clearer picture of how mine might turn out when it's a better time for me to start modding. Keep up the good work!

Patrick@Ptuning 07-17-2013 09:19 PM

Planning on moving on to a coilover suspension soon along with the P-Tuning turbo kit so PM me if you are interested in my Injen intake or Eibach Sportlines.

I currently don't have rings on there right now, but I would recommend some. You got the same 19x8.5 +33 & 19x9.5 +43 set-up?

SP spec dont offer +33 for fronts, i think. it says, 19 x 8.5 +45 & 9.5 +43. is it some kinda special hub rings or any regular hub rings that fits would work?

My fronts are definitely +33. U have to get hub centering ring that have an inner bore of 56.1mm (your stock hub) and an outer diameter of 65mm? (This is the bore size for the 18" 57xtreme but I'm not 100% sure if its the same). To make sure, you should look at the back of your wheels, it should say it somewhere or measure it.

Been saving up for a turbo kit and a clutch.. This was literally the only mod I could afford for the last 2 months lol. Hated that long factory antena so much.

What are you running for the sides? I'm thinking Ht Auto for the front as well. Once the car is lowered it will scrape a lot, so I dont want to drop $ for carbon.

Looks Great!!:party0030:

Looks good, careful with that lip and the sportlines. That's what I'm running and I've already broke the lip, patched it and just scrapped the same side lol the patch held great tho. Gonna color it in with a sharpie to see how it looks and if I don't like it just gonna plastidip it since I keep scrapping it up. I like to have fun in my car though which leads to alot of bumpy mountain roads. not sure how you drive haha I think I should've gone with the pro kit until i get coils.

I am running HT Auto everything. Only on springs but my driveway is brutal so it scrapes anyway lol

Ha yeah, I drive the hell out of my car too. I'm actually considering switching to the APR kit once I save up a little more after the turbo kit is all done since the APR lip kit is a bit more forgiving on speedbumps than HT Auto's.

Had the exact same though, only downside is I drilled holes to screw the lip in at the top and they'd either have to be filled in or it'd look retarded. Even thought about getting the splitter with rods and just attaching the rods at the holes lol prob wouldn't look right tho
