I will add pictures and better pictures when I can.
Wanted to save for the real thing, but ran into and incident where I needed to get wheels early.
Too broke to afford them but was able to find these, among a few other look-a-likes.

Running Bremmer Kraft BR10 - Matte Grey (only finish)
Front - 18x8 Offset 45 , Nexen N1000 225/40R18
Rear - 18x9 Offset 42, Nexen N1000 255/35/R18
(wish they had 8.5&9.5)

No drop, stock suspension. Will get coils soon and will drop 1"-1.5".
Rear looks flush, front needs a few mm.

One of the pics has a brz with the real thing, and a crappy comparison shot. Sorry was in a hurry. Will try to take more. But if I didn't know which was which, they look pretty damn identical at first and 2nd glance.

Thanks again to Andrew at JRP! @Stav

Does that WRB have gramlights on?
How much does he drop? Are you gonna add spacer ? When you drop, your front wheels are gonna suck in unlike gramlights.

Also, do you have any issues installing your tpms?

Foobar 06-13-2013 02:10 PM

Looks good. The concave 9's would probably work better if they were on all corners, but you'd definitely need a drop to bring the fronts back in.

Yeah the WRB has legit gramlights, not sure how much he dropped. Pretty sure it's somewhere between 1-1.5"

For me when I do drop, I'm gonna go with the flow. I may add spacers depending on how much it sucks.

I don't think the BRZ has tpms, and if it did then I don't have them installed afaik lol.

yeah would've loved to have more concave on the front!

hanabie 06-13-2013 02:46 PM

They look identical imo, except the middle patterns which I don't care.

Are you sure that BRZ does not have TPMS? My BRZ is still on its way. From what I read, it does have TPMS. Have you ever looked at your tachometer?

djdnz 06-13-2013 05:19 PM

They look great, and approx the same weight as the gram lights. I'm pretty sure these are the ones, thanks again for the pics!

Yeah the middle pattern, aside from the center cap(which I was thinking of changing to rays lol) has a few extra holes but that's about it. Also when i look really hard the my picture(maybe different in real life) I notice the gramlights have a more matte finish/a slightly different shade of grey. Still an amazing replica!
It might have, but maybe when they installed my winters they threw them out or it's still in my stock tires :S.
Disregard my last comment. I tried to look online and I believe the Canadian one does not come with tpms, afaik.

The attached is a printscreen of the safety sections on the Canadian Vs American.

Yeah I heard that they aren't that much heavier than the original!! Which is a even bigger plus! And the tire/wheel guy that was installing them was telling me how these were better from an engineering stand point except for the obvious qualities you'd expect from rays. Forgot the words he used but something about o-ring and it's something centered LOL.

22 lbs for both 18x8 and 18x9

The weight difference is really small, less than 0.5lbs I believe.

Tirerack.com has the detail.

@joe, I'm thinking of getting spacers either 20mm for front and 15mm for rear.
Or 25mm front and 20mm rear, when I drop 1".

Myv 06-14-2013 06:53 PM

These are pretty nice, didn't know JRP sold these, mind pming me the price you got them for?

chae 06-15-2013 02:32 PM

same here how much? I really like the wheels

funcheung 06-16-2013 05:09 AM

nice jo :w00t:

continuecrushing 06-16-2013 06:50 AM

Those look darn good!

djdnz 06-16-2013 06:46 PM

Well I ordered a set in 18x9 square with 245/35/18 Continental ExtremeContact DW so I'll post some pics when they arrive and I get a chance to throw them on.

kchiang4200 06-16-2013 07:54 PM

Can't wait for the pics, I'm also considering a 18x9 square setup as well.

Sac-BRZ 06-18-2013 07:59 PM

Just found these wheels on TireRack, had to do a double take. Could buy them & have them painted and still come out cheaper than GramLights.

That's the exact setup I am looking to buy. Are you on stock suspension?

At the moment I am, I have RCE Tarmac Zero on the way but the wheels will arrive first. I'll try mounting them on the stock suspension at first until the coils arrive.

Sweet, the only thing I'm worried about with the setup is the tire rubbing on the strut. I'm lowered on h&r Supersports and hopefully they will clear.

jflogerzi 06-19-2013 11:09 AM

They look pretty damn good, but man the weight. wheel is on average 3-4LBS heavier per wheel.

Heavier than what? Gram Lights are not exactly feather weights.

Stock, 17x7: 20.1lbs
Gram Lights, 18x9.5: 22lbs (best source I could find was 18x8.5 +38 21.75 lbs, 18x9.5 +22 22.5 lbs; source; wrong offset, so I rounded down to 22lbs which I have heard floating around a few times)
BR10, 18x9: 22.6lbs

2.5lbs heavier than stock (and +1" diameter, 2" wider)
0.6lbs heavier than Gram Lights. Then when you throw on tires with a similar stretch on both, you are at minimum 10mm wider on the tire which will add that weight back to the Gram Lights. Also $1300+tax cheaper for a set, coincidentally that's enough for a quality set of RCE Tarmac Zeroes - which is exactly what I did with the extra :P

I laugh when people complain about few pounds added to the car's overall weight. Maybe they should start cutting their own weight instead.

Kitty approved. They look wide... :eyebulge:

If anyone is interested, this is the look of 245/35/18 Continental ExtremeContact DW mounted to 9" wheels.

Hahaha YES! People spend 2-300 dollars on light weight batteries to shave 10 pounds or less...could do that by spending less on poor food ;)

but I cannot talk, I weigh 260. Being able to bench every pound that I weigh is nice, but still, I am a big dude (6'4) and could stand to lose a few. Every time I worry about wheel weight, I immediately tell myself to lose weight instead. I know up sprung mass is different and one pound is multiplied by X but still. I could lose 30 pounds and solve the whole issue right there :p

OH and to keep on topic This rims are on my possible buy list. They are nice, would look good painted and are affordable. I wish the Konig Torches came in nice sizes for 5x100 but they do not. Thankfully Bremmer made something decent for us at a very reliable price.

hanabie 06-19-2013 04:47 PM

I was going for konig torch silver until I saw the sizes ==

I'm thinking of getting Bremmer instead too.

really need more pictures on the face. Where did you get your tires from? Tirerack? How much are you going to lower your car? Adding any spacer?

It's the difference of sprung vs unsprung weight. Wheels, brakes and suspension count as unsprung weight which is important to keep down for handling. A few pounds can make a difference when talking unsprung weight.

Please turn the front to lock, to check if they hit the front struts! I would like to know this! Thanks

I really can't say much about BC coils, but you should not go for cheap coils.
In terms of coils, you are looking for manufacturers that produce superb quality shocks not the springs. So, it is really you get what you pay for.
I'd get Tarmac 0 if I were you. They are made by KW.
If you lower your car more than 1 inch, you are really looking for LCA investment. I hope I'm wrong, but I was informed that.

I went with swift springs route. I can live with 1" drop.
When my oem struts blow, I'll be looking to invest something like KW V3. Then, I will sell my swift with minimal lost.

smbstyle 06-26-2013 01:30 PM

looking forward to seeing more pics; especially with a drop. these are on my list.

I test fit one wheel in this thread:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...hlight=bremmer

My coilovers arrive on Wednesday! Hope I can get them installed before the weekend, and then I'll get some pics. The wheels are totally mexi-flush in the front at stock height. They should tuck nicely with the drop though :)

See, I'm sure they will fit with coilovers. I was just hoping they would fit with the stock struts and lowering springs because I don't really want to buy coilovers.

Given how tight it looked at stock height, they likely be extremely close or interfering with lowering springs unless you remove some of the natural camber or add spacers. I'm not too sure what others experience has been like with lowering springs on aggressive fitments. I'm assuming you generally lose some space at the tire. If you put a stretched tire you might fit a bit better, but personally its not my thing.

They definitely fit at stock height as shown in my other post. You might be able to sqeeze a slightly wider tire on than I have at stock height. But Mexiflush already!

No I haven't but there is another person that is using 18x9 but not sure what size tires. You can check the wheel directory under bremmer kraft should be the other guy there.
