FR-S center stack
I really don't like the photos I've seen of the F-RS center stack:
http://i.imgur.com/dHXCq.jpg The three staggered knobs look pretty cheap. I like what I've seen of the BRZ stack better. I think this might only be in the Limited trim: http://i.imgur.com/nQHgp.jpg Is Scion going to have an option that will include this improved center stack? |
I completely agree, but apparently Scion will have multiple options for the head unit (BeSpoke), so maybe they'll have options for the stack as well.
|
Its unlikely that Scion will have an option for the stack. The Limited BRZ HVAC controls are used with the auto AC and has that Push-Start button. Since Scion isn't offering auto-AC nor the push-button (from the information gathered on Scion's site and the net), and the fact that they only have monospec production cars its unlikely that it'll be an option :/
Only the head unit may be interchangeable (for the BeSpoke unit, there might be a chance its already included) |
That center stack will be available on the Premium BRZ also.
Scion will not offer an improved center stack. If you want the interior of the BRZ, pay an extra 2k over the price of an FRS. |
lol this again
|
I like the FRS stack . its simple and it works. Looks easier to use at a glance.

And it's totally worth it in every way. |

I would like to think the center unit will be revised or up-gradable in the cars mid life/facelift cycle. Similar to how VW MK5 revised from a switch to a knob for the AC unit.

OP is an obvious troll. I mean how much more generic can a username/profile be? He has enough internet savvy to find and attach those photos, but doesn't know the answer to his question?
I bet it's an existing member making multiple accounts to start these threads that the forum has been bombarded with lately. They all seem to be the same, just registered and first post is starting a thread to ask something that has been cover a number of times. |

It is kind of funny, though, how agitated everyone is over this question :) |
-____- who let the nOObs out of the cage again?

Something has seperate the FRS and Premium BRZ other than a badge and different fascia. |

And you'd be surprised at how much better the standard interior looks with a touch screen display as opposed to that terrible looking scion headunit. |

Nope. Only limited. Guess you haven't checked out the BRZ that much. |

Thanks for the heads up Guys. |

And it's not a Scion.
|
^And if you prefer the front fascia of the Subaru.
Otherwise... there's really not much of a difference. |
FRS has different damper/spring set up versus the BRZ.
|
Oh BRZ comes in WRB while FRS has the ... Orange I forgot what they called it.

HIDs & a touch screen nav unit plus the fascia and badges will distinguish the 2 cars. |
gimme the better one. $10

Agree.
I'd like to get the Sub interior and the Scion exterior(don't care for the BRZ front bumper). |
I don't really think the Nav is a big selling point. I would personally rather get my own aftermarket one installed rather than pay a premium for what they decide to put in it.

Stop complaining and decide. It amazes me people put so much emphasis on the placement of 3 knobs...enough to the point where they consider dropping an extra 2k which could easily throw on an exhaust and some coilovers... |
This thread sucks.
Oh and btw... @ "pay an extra 2k" ... wtf you guys have the official pricing sheets and didn't share it?! |
GT-86/BRZ limited with the center stack is nice! OMG I trolled =D
The way I see it is cause some of us are die hard Toyota fans now are shifting to Subaru. I perfer to stay with the same dealer and same salesperson and same service group but Toyota probably doesn't like us. And btw, bashing is so next week or next next week when the prices come out. Someone going to get hurt... |

Nobody really knows how much more the Subaru BRZ premium is going to cost over the FRS. Rumor is $24k for the premium BRZ.
