It reduces the flexing of the master cylinder causing the brake pedal touch to be stiffer, and increasing brake pedal feel.

it stops flex from the firewall, which makes your brake pedal stiffer and helps prevent brake fade, they're usually a separate part, its a nice design on cusco part for including it on their strut

This is an excellent demo of master cylinder movement and the reason why there's a need for a stop. The demo reflects grimmspeeds stopper, but you'll get the idea why it's needed
