I like the spindle grille, dislike the fat headlamps, dislike the BMW ripoff taillights. Nice aerodynamic rear window though.

Yup. Have been using it since LS, but LS doesn't look ripped off like this one. However, improvement over the current model.

I guess it looks more upmarket due to the fancier lights and stuff, but I think from a purely aesthetic point of view it's worse than the old one. The old one's problem was it looked like a Camry with a Lexus badge slapped on.

Rear is okay. Front looks a little... off? from that side view angle. I will have to see this in person.

That's probably because it is a Camry with a Lexus badge slapped on. Heh...

This new one looks like two different cars front and back. Back is nice but boring. Front is... out there.

And what's the difference between the red and silver cars? Red looks like a more aggressive/sporty front end.

The rear looks a bit bland but the back window is sleek. I actually don't mind the spindle grill so much the headlights is what gets me. They look huge but it's at angle they don't. I have to see this in person to make my judgement.

Stare at the last picture for a while and you might figure it out. :D

Holy observational failure, Batman! (Le self facepalm...) Well at least there is a strong family resemblance between the ES and GS now...

Still looks like a camry to me, all they did was a front end that looks like a ricer bodykit and a protruding grill that almost looks like they slapped it onto the front.

MatadorF1 will be mad at me, but when I first saw it I thought it was a Chinese knock off. No joke.

I should have been more specific; a Chinese knock off a Lexus I guess. All that chrome/glitz in the front and the rims just reminds me of a Chinese knock off car. When I think Chinese car; I think chromed out front/grill. But that could just be me.

I think the problem here is not the chrome grill, but the shape of the grill itself. Looks kinda cheap compares to the one in the GS and RX.

I don't know. It is something about the front end. All that chrome, the grill and especially that chrome bezel around the grill.

I think the pics don't do justice for the car. New GS looks so much better in person than in the pic.

Maybe. I'm just going off of what I saw from the pics. Haven't seen it in person. But as most things, it is up to personal taste. :thumbsup:

I suppose, but next to the GS it looks wrong. In those pics it really does come across as a Chinese rip off of the GS. Also, it looks lazy to me. Like the designers said, "Take the GS, stretch it out, balloon a few features, and slap an ES badge on it.

And I found this photoshop job in the lexus forum link. Not bad. Still, I'll reserve any more judgement until I see the actual car in person.
