GALAXY BLUE SILICA BRZ Compilation
Everyone feel free to add photos you come across (and eventually photos of your own BRZ in this color!)

GBS is the unicorn of the BRZ colors. It's very hard to get a picture of one in the wild.
Of course Zaku you have one, Oh look a BRZ, lol
Picking a color for this car is about as hard as picking my first born childs name, but I think this is the one.
This is definitely the one for me. Problem is I don't think it'll be available in Canada. :(
Why can noone get a picture in direct sunlight already!!???
I can't wait for mine to get here. I almost went with WR Blue but I'm glad I didn't since it will make my car a little more unique.
This is the best we can do?!? How about these?
Ok, I know that this is the Toyota/Scion, but is it generally agreed that the color will be the same: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...5&d=1322426403 http://my86.co/wp-content/uploads/Ga...lue-Silica.jpg ...and this one is an Exiga, but the color and brand are right! http://www.carjunction.com/car_color...07/Exiga16.jpg ...and this is a Legacy, but work with me, here! http://drischnie.homeip.net/www.suba...lica-Kombi.jpg I know there is one that was delivered--it was on the car carrier that came through KC and dropped off the Black BRZ at a dealer here. They are out there. |
Thought I saw some pictures/videos where GBS looked kinda blurple in the sunlight..

Subaru's BRZ build site is so off on the color of GBS.

One stopped by the local dealer today on it's way through New England:

Thank you
Im happy with my blind color choice
Darker than I thought, glad I went with WRB.
Those pics do the GBS justice. Since it's darker I should go with that and have somewhat the best of both worlds when it comes down to Black and WRB.
Interesting color, a good color in my opinion is to look differently under different lighting
Somehow I love it and hate it at the same time.
Having a hard time deciding between WRB and DGM, GBS seems like a nice compromise and I'm really warming up to it.
I saw this color on a tC and it looks great in the sunlight!

Edit: well its nautical blue like this http://farm1.staticflickr.com/48/125...c62_z.jpg?zz=1 |
Nautical blue is not aquamarine/galaxy blue silica.
they are similar in that they are both dark blues, but not the same. there are some good pictures of the FR-S in aquamarine/GBS in the geneva thread over on the FR-S side. |
Here's the 86 in GBS at the Geneva Motor Show.
http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/au...a-GT-86-01.jpg A nice, rich blue. Not as dark as the black (where I think you lose the lines of the car) but not as in your face bright as some of the other options. Pretty! Turbowned's shots show how tough it is to take a good picture of this color, even in full sunlight. It may be one of those that you really need to see for your self. |

here is a shot of one that a local dealer sent in Harrisburg, PA that they got in for training, shows off the GBS color nicelyhttp://i252.photobucket.com/albums/h...233/GBSBRZ.jpg

Do I hate it or do I love it? I'm still not sure... |
Want. So bad.
Not available in Canada, Canada doesn't have DGM either. Ended up getting SWP. Wish so bad it was matte instead. :P |
From what I see in that pic that I got in the email from the dealer, it almost reminds me of the Indigo Blue Metallic chevy used a few years ago, matter of fact just like my cavalier I own currently lol.

Here's one on the factory line at Gunma:

Same exact car as previously posted by Turbowned in post #17.
