Interior space for a tall person?

Anyone know or heard how the fit is for a tall person? I'm 6'4" and im wondering how the fit will be.

serialk11r 02-20-2012 12:05 AM

I think...we need a sticky for this question.
There's a video of a 6'3" guy fitting in there just fine.

Zaku 02-20-2012 12:05 AM

IT fit someone that was 6'6 and 220 Pounds. You will be fine.

I'll compile an FAQ later today/tomm. So that it be easy for everyone.

It is so much easier and more fun to say "SEARCH!!!". lol. But I agree a FAQ sticky would do this forum a lot of good.

+1. Also, I'm wondering how the seats feel for those who were able to sit a BRZ. I only ask this because I sat in a friends STi and wondered if the seats were similar in any way. Sorry to thread jack.

Too Tall?

This is my biggest concern as well. I am 6'3 and about 195 lbs. One Scion dealer told me if I fit a Scion tC, that I would be fine. Well, they had a tC TRD version and I did not fit! No head room at all. I haven't been this excited by a car that I would actually own for a long time now, and this would be a real bummer.

* no helmet, no track days: I would be okay with that
* custom seat: I would consider this, that's how much I like the design of this car.

Fingers crossed for sure

Zaku 02-20-2012 12:51 PM

BRZ seats feel a bit more sturdy than STI seats, closest comparison i found is 370z seat position and comfort comes close. You need to try it your self because experience if differ from different people. I wouldn't worry about fitting at 6 3 im 6 and i had a whole hand lenght between my head and roof, helmet will fit just fine onceagain someone that was 66 220 fit dont seewhy you would not.

When i get the chance ill write the faq today

You actually think people will read the FAQ sticky rather than spamming new threads? You have more faith in these monkeys than me.

That'd be me! Although I wish I was 220, more like 210

Zaku 02-20-2012 12:59 PM

Wish there was a post limit and threads you have to look at before you can make a thread. But what we have now as annoying it is to older members it does generate traffic.

Just wondering, will jdm seats be different than usdm ones? Not that im worried, cuz im only 5'4" lol. Id prefer to have snugger seats tho, like the older hondas had.

The TC has the sunroof which hurts head room.

Based off of what others said, you should be allright

Awesome! This calls for the Peter Griffin gif which has him celebrating/jumping in the air saying "Yeah!" with the 80s sitcom tune in the background lol. Wish I could find it to share hahaha.

As one of the scion first 86ers i asked scion if i would fit. Their marketing company (same one that is organizing the long beach trip) is offering me an exclusive day trip to sit in a fr s.. They are going to fly me from sacramento to lax then drive me to the terrance headquarters where i will get to sit in a fr s. Im a 6'5 320 lb guy with a 38 inch waist.. So fitting comfortablly in cars is priority one. If im comfortable in fr s i will be buying one hands down... Trip is planned dor march 19...will update if people interested

Yes please update us on how you fit. I am also big guy waiting on a thumbs up from another person who is as wide I am. I have to say I am a bit worried the seats will be to narrow.

Good luck to you I hope you fit.:happy0180:

Jah1mon 03-09-2012 09:23 AM
