First Post: Just ordered today!
 

Hey all, My name is Dustin. Ive been a member here for a couple weeks... I've been super excited about the FR-S for a while now and have been talking with my guy at the dealer about ordering one but wanted to see it at the Chicago Auto Show first.

Well, after a week of changing my mind from this color to that color and so on, I decided to place an order for a raven. I cant wait for it to arrive! :)

I just hope its the right choice. White would have been THE ONLY color i could pick if it was gloss white but being pearl it messed up everything! Black might be a nice change....

My cars have all been white or black
white 81 corrola, black accord, black vette, white rav4, black FRS haha bipolar i guess, it'll look awesome...when its clean

I personally ordered my FR-S In pearl white, my current car is like that too. It's not a bad color if you give it a shot, but nonetheless congrats on your raven pre-order!

I want to preorder too but kind of wanna wait for that trd edition

You are going to run into assholes everywhere you go. Best advice I can give you is to ignore them rather than letting them stop you enjoying what you want.

You might miss out on some of the bad but you're going to miss out on a lot more good if you decide to stay away. Your choice though. Enjoy yourself whether you stay or go. And grats on the order.

I am curious though how it's your first post when it says you're in the 40's for post count and I could've swore I saw you post before. :P

Fancy, don't let the jerks get to you. I got a similar response when I first joined and felt the same way. I would have really missed out if I had left this place, as I feel like I've gotten to know a few folks here (to the degree that you can on a forum) and so believe me when I say the cool people far out weigh the jerks on this forum. Enemies gives good advice, which I admittedly have forgotten sometimes to follow myself, which is try not to take comments personally and/or let them get your temper flared up.

Just curious. Was it actually ordered or was it just a deposit for a black one? The scion dealership I stopped at to put deposit down said they couldn't do orders yet but take deposits for incoming units.

Did you just get on the internet today? Grow some thicker skin dude.

And yeah, I also wonder, did your dealer actually let you order? Or was it just a deposit?

LOL, ive been a member of a bunch of different forums, both good, and bad. It's just that it is my FIRST thread here. I'm used to the Scion forum that I've been a part of for almost 3 years now. I guess those people "know" me. Im not one of those guys that just posts a whole bunch of random junk. I just figured that anyone else that ordered a Raven could post and what not. Just wanted you guys to know I was offically sticking around here.

and yeah, it was just the deposit, not a REAL order....

Congrats Dustin! Raven was my second color choice but for some reason I always go with Red (Firestone). Hope to see you on the road.

I hope to see any of you guys on the road! I'll more than likely be the only one with an FR-S around here. If you don't believe that, the Scion tC is a rare car for my area. People here don't even know what Scion is most of the time, so since people ask me all the time what my car is, I just started saying it's a Toyota hahaha

Your first post and title state that you "ordered" rather than correctly stating that you put a "Deposit down." Big difference. Not sure if you were trolling. Trying to act cool or what. But if every person is going to make a new thread when they put a deposit down, when they talk to a dealer, when they actually order the car, when they test drive the car, when they pick up their car...etc. this place will become a zoo. There are many other threads that you could have posted your info in and you wouldn't have gotten the response you did. Do you really want 100 different threads from 100 different members who put a deposit down. Or maybe just 1 good thread could work for all?

Cool I like the raven color, its my 2nd choice for the FRS after white, and 3rd for BRZ

wait, so you don't know if you're getting the FR-S or the BR-Z? or just like diff colors on each?
