That looks so sexy on red. How many coats did you do? Very nice by the way.

10 coats, 4 cans, 6 hours. They'll be looking amazing. I did mine, but Matte Black.

Does it get dirty really easily? If it does, is it easy to clean off (the dirt and brake dust)?

ScionFrsFan 05-31-2013 10:31 PM

That's amazing. Good job man!

They are pretty easy to clean, I wash my rims with a separate brush and I do it somewhat delicately.

First time using plasti dip i had about 4-5 coats. Your car may look just like mine lol. Now after using plasti dip once i am going to startover n add more coats and do the index card method. :happy0180:

Looks good man. Are the sides of the spokes really rough? i have to redo mine because i dont like the texture

I'm hoping to do white on red this weekend if I get a chance.

Sucks that Plasti-dip in Canada is 20$ a can (on sale!) but at least I only need 4 cans for the rims.

FRSGT86 06-04-2013 10:44 PM

That looks pretty good, great job!

jflogerzi 06-05-2013 12:18 AM

I decided to put it on a little more thick for durability and it also makes it easier to peel off in one piece.

I have a can left so I'm going to add some more coats today.

you need to lower it down a bit. Even a 1 in drop would do you wonders in the looks department. The wheels are more pronounced being white, making your wheel gaps seem ginormous.

Looks great. I did quite a few coats on mine too. I have found that one spot lifted for whatever reason. Anyone have a fix for plastidip lift?

Use a brand new razor blade, cut it out, and re spray it in layered coats so it has time to dry and grab onto your initial layer of dip.

Kelbyat07 06-06-2013 12:54 PM

Wow I was about to do that soon to mine as well. Looks great, can't wait to do the same. Btw, how long do you think it will last?

Depends, I've heard it lasts anywhere from 3 months to a couple years.
