Snagged these while wandering (spying) by the Scion offices on my way to work. Struck up a chat about TRD possibilities with a guy on his way in after he asked if I like what I saw.
As we spoke I kept referring to a TRD edition of the FRS and he kept correcting me with "purchasable TRD accessories". I'm starting to get the feeling there wont be multiple editions of the FRS, just purchasable upgrades :iono:

I saw the outline of an FRS under a tarp (locked down, I tried lifting it:mad0260:) so im gonna swing by on my way out and see if it's been revealed yet.

P.S- Argento color scheme looked nice but that Hot Lava looked great in the sun :rolleyes:

Thing is (same thing with the 350Z) that color doesn't really match any wheels, or it just looks...like it's trying too hard to be flashy especially with some wheels and/or other accesories.

It's just not a color i think of when i think of "JDM" or "Sports Car" =/

That makes sense since Scion are one model type vehicles and you add the options individually.

People (mostly us current Scion owners) have been telling people that for months. One model. Few to no options (and certainly no dual HVAC, HIDs, or push button start). No TRD edition. All individual accessories.

It actually seems to look darker and more orange red in person. They have the color on the XB and IQ. Saw it over the past weekend while putting down my deposit at the dealership.

I'm kind of surprised at how much of an afterthought that CHMSL looks to be in that last pic. Are they not required in Japan?

It looks like is the one with the interior shot, if you look at the far side mirror and the corner of the hood above the guages it is silver.

You gotta show us the Argento.

I attempted to upload the shots of the Argento but they came up corrupted (My PC eats photos on the regular).

I'll swing by the Scion offices on Tuesday with my SLR and see if it's still there. I wanna know what was under that tarp too:sigh:

Sometimes I have wondered if the FR-S Viewing numbers are correct. Like right now there's 200+ people viewing it apparently and 25 people the BRZ forums. Yet there's never really that many more posts there to read.

It's like a bad conspiracy theory.

Search engine bots outnumber us humans.

I doubt that is the reason - why would the search bots go more for Toyota than Subaru? It likely reflects a real difference in interest due to looks and pricing - look at the poll on this site, way more folks are looking to buy the Toyota/Scion than the 'Ru. The published manufacturer estimates of sales reflect this as well. Here in Canada, with an estimated $6-7k price difference given Subie's typically outrageous markups over US prices, it'll be 9 FR-Ss sold for every BRZ.

Yeah, I'm almost wondering if I'll need to get my deposit back from the BRZ and travel to get an FR-S. And if I do the first and only change I'll make will be immediately switching out the Navigation for a better unit.

If the pricing is less than $1000 between the premium BRZ and the FR-S....its going to be a hard decision...

Hard? HID's and the exterior would make up that difference for me. As well as the better fabric cloth. <$1000 difference BRZ all the way. >$2500 difference then FRS all the way. In between? Probably BRZ for me.

Any luck getting those Argento shots? I'm really curious to see a nice HQ pic up close of the paint.
