Perrin 3" Exhaust Video
This weekend I was lucky to get the new Perrin 3" Cat-Back exhaust on my car! Sounds amazing.
They should have this posted up for sale on their site soon, as it was announced yesterday at the NW Perrin BRZ/FRS Meet. Other mods include: - Perrin Overpipe - Perrin Front Pipe (2.5" currently, but 3" on the way) - Perrin CAI Photos: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8126/8...27b3e609_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7294/8...ce558ed6_b.jpg http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2873/8...96d1a7e5_b.jpg Video: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gI1fRwlLI_c"]NWMotiv - Project BRZ - Perrin 3" Exhaust - YouTube[/ame] |
how do those perrin steering bush inserts in the photo feel?
|
I just bought my the Perrin 3" Exhaust yesterday at Perrin meet too...going install today.
|
That sounds awesome - it has the Evo 3 throatiness that I lost when I switched to the Perrin 2.5!
Any drone at highway cruising RPM? |
Has any research been done concerning 3" performance N/A? I'm really hoping this engine will go the way of the K series and we will find that 3" makes more power all over and not just at the top of the powerband.

At around 30-31 seconds, something flashes in the back up light area that looks red on either side of the center triangle. What was that?? :iono:

on perrin's car. |
Exhaust looks and sounds good.
I haven't watched someone drive an auto lately, but I must say I really feel sorry for the poor guy :/ |
Why would you feel sorry? Shifts right when I need it to, works great during autocross, and I can go to into D while stuck in traffic.
Autox example (Stock): [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cdGxkKRe38"]NWMotiv - Project BRZ - In Car Video 3-17-13 Porsche Club Autox - YouTube[/ame] As for cabin drone, no drone at all. Cruised at 70mph yesterday for a bit and it was very quite. I am very happy with the exhaust! |

Looks like this system is still resonated. Does the wider diameter change sound over the 2.5" system in any appreciable way? This however might be a question for Perrin unless you've had the opportunity to hear/own the other Perrin systems. |

1.) unfamiliar reverse/brake light sequence 2.) good looking Perrin exhaust tips 3.) this is an Auto transmission because driver doesn't shift himself 4.) then I connected #3 with #1 5.) pretty good sounding exhaust, if I were to get one I'd want something like this |
Still shifting, using the paddles on the steering wheel. (You can hear the click right before the car shifts.)

@PERRIN
What're the differences between the 3 inch and the 2.5 inch? I'm certain it's more than just sound. Thanks! |

ETA on the 3" Frontpipe?
|
Subscribed…I want this setup with the greddy turbo. A friend of mine ran a 3" custom on his na and actually lost HP…had to do some serious tuning just to get back to where he started pre-mod. I like the Perrin exhaust but I think the 2.5 is the way to go na, 3 ftw with FI IMO
|
Hey guys, sorry for not getting back to you earlier, we are working on a 3" front pipe, but we don't have an ETA yet.
|
|
Is ground clearance the same as stock?
|
Must have this exhaust. Now the question is which vendor has the best deal?

Always wondered what the dyno stats are compared to the 2.5".
|
Can't decide between this or the Ark system... Someone help me decide!
|
What is the difference as far as gains from the 2.5 inch non res catback system to the 3 inch catback system? I have the 2.5 right now but want the 3 inch if the gains are good. Also, any word on that 3 inch front pipe? Any headers in the future? Your products are the best IMO. Thnx for the great work guys.
