Hi, I've just set up Type-C with 205/55R16 BS RE-01R. (I know it is old...) The condition is somewhat dark, so picture quality is not good. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-o...14_185823r.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-T...514_185836.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-R...514_185847.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-a...514_185936.jpg It weighs just 5.6Kg. (In spec, 5.65Kg.) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-i...514_175006.jpg |
picture quality is non existent....as is the picture lol
|
Sorry, I moved the pictures to fix the link problem.
|
dang, i love it man. are you on springs?
|
No lowering.
|
Hey, there is a person from Korea!! Looks nice.
I'm Korean, but I can't type since I'm at work. |

The more I see it, the more I dig the 16 inch with beefy tires. Could you post a direct side shot? Thanks |

Like your wheels! How did they change the handling? More jerking of the wheel with the lower off-set?
|

But I changed to Whiteline Com-C top mounts after wheel change. It reduced negative effects of the scrub radius change. No jerking. It balanced perfectly. Suspension motion ratio changed to make effective spring rate soft, but Unsprung weight reduction compensated it. |

Not bad, but they look really small in the fenders to be honest. The beefy tires do help this to an extent.
|
because racecar. dont hate on the 16s he keeps em clean!
|
|
This makes me rethink my decision to stay with 17s...16s look great.

Very nice 👍
|
that looks SOOO great dude. I love the meat on those tires.
how's the cornering now? |
Lower and it will look AWESOME.
|
This setup looks like a legit track car.
보기 좋습니다. |
Awesome, Love the functional look
|
with a 8 lbs per corner weight reduction (assuming tires weight the same) from stock, that has got to be a noticeable positive difference when accelerating and decellerating. A lightweight flywheel or cf driveshaft would amplify the effect.
I might do something like this when I finally buy mine. |
love those wheels but 16"s are just simply way too small for this car.

Not the best laps, but you can see how I enjoy. :) [ame]http://youtu.be/7M1E9Rs0-ok[/ame] |
Nice vid (blackvue?), obviously you were the better driver, but still to fun to see you keep up with 340hp :)
Also I am guessing you are not running stock brakes, some serious stopping power you have there :confused0068: |
Ur killin it! I bet theyre stock brakes, i was out braking most people with my stock brakes at tsukuba. This car stops quick.
|

i am very specialized for braking. :-) brakes are stock size, but Korean manual version has JDM G grade brakes. so rotor diameter is ~278mm. the rotor used is ebc usr729, the slotted one, and the pads are ebc yellow's. |
Awesome!

LIGHT!!! |
@makinen : what is your opinion on this wheel with a 205/55R16 tyre? Should be ok?
|
Quote:
It can match with heavy 17" wheel with 215/45R17 tyres. Actually I did 0.5s slower laps with the latter 17" setup. |
