How much did you pay?

Hey all. Wife and I are in the process of buying a FR-S. We are looking at a whiteout with the upgraded radio and looking at 29.6. Wondering how much everyone else paid and what options they got with it.

Chimpo 05-14-2013 09:13 AM

I do believe $28k+ with a lot of options: Bespoke, trunk mat, front anti-chip stickers, trunk anti-scratch sticker, wheel locks, etc

FRyeS 05-14-2013 10:45 AM

I paid 25,255 with no options, this was a few weeks ago.

Er... for that much, you might as well go for a BRZ Limited :bonk:I would check other dealers.

Just my $0.02.

ihaskrayon 05-14-2013 10:53 AM

Almost 30K for a FR-S! Sweet holy mother of baby Jesus. :confused0068:

Might as well look for a BRZ for that price. Which btw, I got a limited for less than most FR-S's price. Shop around, because the most you should pay is 26K with some options added on.

ihaskrayon 05-14-2013 10:55 AM

Also, I wouldn't get the upgraded radio. I've heard nothing good about BeSpoke and I believe the 2014 models all get new radio units as well

Narcoden 05-14-2013 10:57 AM

$25,255

MT with zero options.

Unless that price is an out the door price, I think you are getting ripped off. Make sure you are at a Scion dealership that has the pure price program.

According to the Scion site, the pure price should be:
automatic whiteout FRS with bespoke: $27,470
manual whiteout FRS with bespoke: $26,370

I bought my manual Whiteout FRS with no options for $25,525 less than a month ago.

frslee 05-14-2013 12:04 PM

29.6k is definitely a ripoff.

I got mine for 25,350.00.

Base MT: 25,255.00 + Trunk Carpet : 95.00 = 25,350.00

strat61caster 05-14-2013 12:28 PM

$27.2k out the door, tax, title, licence included.
In January after price increase.
No "options", Asphalt.

Nm86 05-14-2013 01:09 PM

$25,025 got a recent grad discount of $500 to get that. It seems that scion doesn't discount at all, but you also should not pay over sticker, plus $100 or so for processing. Myne is mt with trunk Mat. Sticker says $25,400.

m.wood0213 05-14-2013 01:29 PM

my BRZ was priced at 30k. ttl out the door 33k.

Chimpo 05-14-2013 01:46 PM

Well, OP, the question has been raised: is your cost out the door or is it before TTL?

My $28k+ was with TTL.

Mine was just under 29k. Didn't come with the radio, but came with the matts, spoiler and trd exhaust (:

SoCal_86 05-14-2013 02:00 PM

Paid $25,639 for a whiteout MT no options from longo

Patrix 05-14-2013 02:22 PM

25,225 standard MT no option.

I guess that is normal.

Legacy 05-14-2013 02:24 PM

$24,995, no options. thank god, Dealer options suck. I sold cars for 5 years i would never buy dealer options lol

Linseal 05-14-2013 03:41 PM

25K

chickdigger802 05-14-2013 04:03 PM

isn't general consensus that the bespoke system is pure garbage? Just go to Best Buy or someplace for a better thing for less.

Don't get the Bespoke headunit. Nobody likes it.

E46toFT86 05-14-2013 06:36 PM

Got my FR-S @ $24,644 before all the dumb fees/taxes etc... My car also included a trunk mat, OEM + PLUS upgraded audio system, BeatSonic Shark Fin antenna.

When it was all said and done OTD price was just shy of $27K.

HotLeopardMama 05-14-2013 06:49 PM

Mine came out to ~30k with tax + license + ext. warranty

TRD-X 05-14-2013 07:33 PM

Out the door my Whiteout manual was $24.345.00 no options.

Tainen 05-14-2013 07:35 PM

9.9% tax here... ended up being 30.6k OTD after TTL. That was $400 off of MSRP.
BRZ limited pricing for comparison sake.

OzMagic4chip 05-14-2013 08:14 PM

Near 48k$ was mine here in Russia...

I should clarify that it is the out the door price. Before TT&L we are looking at 27 I believe

Vu 05-14-2013 10:39 PM

Got another quote for whiteout with trunk mat for 28k drive out

So, when you say drive out, that's after TTL. In that case, not too bad.

Bottom line, go to Scion's page and build up the Scions that you see on the lot and go from there. That's what I did with my BRZ. Then again, my dealer didn't really have any markups or dealer installed accessories thrown at me. He was pretty cool.

artizhay 05-15-2013 03:10 PM

$26,384 in Firestorm, manual, with BeSpoke, before TT&L.

Yes Drive out is after TTL. Well after building the FR-S on Scion's website it states that the price for a whiteout, AT, Trunk carpet is just under 27 (26,720 to be exact). My assumption is 28K is a reasonable price after TTL. Maybe the discrepancy came from the fact that we are purchasing an AT not MT. Regardless let me know what you all think. We are probably going to purchase at the end of the month. Excited to join the FR-S Family!!

Mollusk 05-15-2013 10:17 PM

I negotiated my way down to about $700 below MSRP plus tax, tag, and title for a brand new MT ordered from the factory. Apparently pure pricing isn't so pure after all... :)

tomato88 05-15-2013 10:26 PM

The dealer markups are unbelievable for these cars. I was quoted $27,300 OTD for White Out, MT, no options. I had to leave the dealership. I think I'll just wait for certified pre-owned units to show up. I'd pull the trigger when it becomes under $22k.

$27,300 isn't too shabby actually. That's pretty much right around average as a OTD price.

tomato88 05-15-2013 11:29 PM

For those who got great deals (~$25,000 OTD), would you mind sharing your price sheet to give us an edge when negotiating?

jshadeck 05-16-2013 12:29 AM

Price of vehicle 25175
Gap ins 490
Tax 1349.26
Misc fees 53.05
Doc fee 129
Total 27196.31

Whiteout manual tranny, specified no dealer crap like the scion trunk deck logo or anything like that, and i was present when car was unloaded and for PDI, had .5 of a mile showing when i left w it later that day had over 40 miles when i got home (10 miles away ;) )

TRDBen 05-16-2013 12:33 AM

Bought mine in CA. Asphalt, MT, Bespoke, TRD air filter, rear bumper applique, window tint, carpeted rear trunk mat. Total sticker was $26,344.00. I bought the 75 month, 75,000 mile service plan and I paid $29,000 out the door in Cali (including tax, title, license).

mackdaddytran 05-16-2013 10:29 AM

23k + TTL. Used with 10k miles

Mikem53 05-16-2013 05:11 PM

I didnt post any numbers on here.. I dont feel comfortable doing so..
Many have paid sticker or over, pure pricing.. whatever.. some paid less..
Why point it out and make some people rethink their purchase. or
take away from their new car experience.
Another point to consider is trade-in price. Many are quoting numbers with trade values in the deal. The dealer can make you think your
getting a discount but is making it up on the other end of the deal. Even when deals are kept separate, the dealer has more room to play their games.
For those in the buying process.. just know that there is always some room to negotiate, especially on the options. and dont be afraid to walk.. be patient.. they will call you back.
I'm just sayin...

Good stuff. Also note, at least down here, when you have trade-in, you end up paying taxes on the difference I believe, versus taxes on the full price of the new vehicle.
