Sacramento: Filipino Fiesta Car Show 6/2
 

Is anyone out in the Sacramento area planning on going to the Filipino Fiesta Car show in June? I figured we should throw up a posting here for it.

I'm going to be going out with my fiance. She's running the Project RIDE booth, and we're gonna have my FR-S there. So stop by if you're there and say hi.

I'll be there for sure! Hopefully they'll have some good pinoy food and not just some variations of adobo.

My friends at teamlovehate invited me, but that's the weekend of my mid-state clash with my other crew so will probably pass on this.

Correct. The space is really limited, so they're trying to make sure they get as many unique setups/builds in as they can. I'm getting in with a pass since I'm part of a booth for a sponsor for the event. We went last year as well, but I didn't bring the FR-S for some reason. I don't really remember why though. :B

Hmm.. I think I might come out with my FRS and my bro might come out with the Supra if its ready... Anyone wanna caravan up there if we do go?

That sounds a bit more interesting than the typical 680 N route, plus a caravan. What time do you think of heading up there?

Anyway, it's been a while since I have drove the section I'm thinking of and I can't seem to pin it down. What sucks is it takes a bit to get there. Here are two different options I created. As you can see we can branch off a million different ways so if anyone has any input please let me know.

The longer, more crooked path - eta 3 hrs 15 min from Stockton to event

Ya, probably gonna be coming from Stockton. That's quite a route! Not too familiar with that one in particular but from what I know of the area, might be pretty tight and gnarly/less maintained roads? Either way, there's a chance that I can join you to the event but will probably take the quicker freeway route back since its on a Sunday and I'll probably be heading back to the bay (may join up with folks if there's a caravan?)

Yeah. Im def only taking it one way only. There are some rough road possibly but they are good for the most part. I was zoomed in pretty good on maps for like 45 minutes to pick a medium twisty road without being crazy for that reason. I mean the driving section itself isnt super long (30-45 minutes) with another set of sweeping twisties essentially for maybe 20-30 min. Up to you as Im down for the event either way. Id guess leave Stockton at like 7 or 8 and hit Sac around 10-11ish

I sent a donation to them. I got an email asking me for pics of the car, sent pics already, and im still waiting if my car got in or not.


I dont wanna think that they make you donate so you get your car in and if you dont hear from them back i'll just have to say bye-bye to my donation and have my car sit in the lot outside the event area...

for sure im going maybe i can bring my girlfriend with me =)
