Raining

Anyone else now enjoying rain?

Its odd, but I find myself a lot happier than I used be when it rains. I'm all about turning the driver assists off & having a little fun.

Sargy 05-12-2013 02:28 AM

I like both, but prefer to stay dry.

Carlitoz3 05-12-2013 02:28 AM

No where to have that kind of fun in my area :/

FRSfan111 05-12-2013 02:28 AM

I like driving in the rain, but I'm in Oregon so I have too. I hate maintaining my car in rainy weather though. I wash 1-2times a week and fully wax/polish/claybar once a month all by hand. Rain gets my raven all dirty :/

This. I live just north of Seattle.

I've always been told wetter is better but now that I think of it it's usually females saying that ^_^

An hour north of Seattle is not "just north"... Lol...

Cade01 05-12-2013 04:29 AM

I love the rain, but I grew up in and still live in Oregon. I've been all over and the PNW will always be home :)

I drive like a grandma in the rain on these prius tirres, our rural hilly roads are dangerous enough dry, but it is the perfect habitat for the fr-s.

fledonfoot 05-12-2013 08:38 AM

I hated the rain with the stock bridgestones.

I just put on a set of continental DW summer rubber, and now the car barely gets squirrelly at all. And in the dry? It's like superglue.

Hardrock4445 05-12-2013 10:07 AM

Black car, and I love clean paint...... Dry please.

Splat 05-12-2013 01:53 PM

stock car and tires...this car scares the Sh@@ out of me in the rain. No rain, thanks

chulooz 05-12-2013 02:02 PM

We will see how much you like the rain when you have a close call.

Which will probably be sooner than later...

I always loved rain.

TRD-X 05-12-2013 02:18 PM

My FR-S is a toy so she don't go out in the rain anytime. ;)

asmallchild 05-12-2013 02:22 PM

Not in the torrential rainfall that hit NY yesterday

I hate rain. Cant drive like I want to at the speeds I want to, car gets dirty, gotta plan events around the weather, etc. 1st world problems.

Hate it enough that I'm planning a move from Seattle area to Phoenix.

DBacon1052 05-13-2013 03:57 AM

My tires love rain
My car hates rain
I have a love/hate relationship with rain because of it.

radroach 05-13-2013 04:02 AM

The first time I opened the car up was in the rain that was falling in heavy sheets, was very fun and fast in torrential rain flying down empty downtown streets.

I like doing donuts freely on slick roads, but the car drives way better on cool sunny days and dry pavement. Also having wet feet (with cold feet, bad circulation) can really put a damper on my pedal-feel and make me drive poorly.

kevman_101 05-13-2013 10:15 AM

Love the rain... Not as hard on the tires :). I actually looped it the other day. I had a sharp turn down par in the dry and decided to do it in the rain. Flick it in, get on the gas, and OH CRAP hehehe. Took off WAY faster then expected and spun out :). Clutch and brake in, wait till it's stopped, no traffic, pop the clutch and 180 back on the road and off I go :P

So much more fun then a FWD hehehe.

strat61caster 05-13-2013 12:01 PM

I love the rain, but not for slideways dorifto action. I just like rain.

 Shop teacher said the most important advice he could give us was that it almost never hurts to add more lube, and this applies in all areas of life.

campy 05-13-2013 12:03 PM

free car wash

CBR600RR 05-13-2013 12:03 PM

the car is a ton of fun in the rain, but it gets dirty in the rain. its a toss up for me

MVJ1975 05-13-2013 12:11 PM

I like it a little bit more now that I'm not running the stock tires (those are crazy on wet pavement) but still, I just washed that. Dark blue + silver wheels = a lot of washing and rain isn't helping.

zaptorque 05-13-2013 12:31 PM

I love the rain, I just don't like driving in it, especially on these Prius Primacy HPs.....

Khorne 05-13-2013 12:44 PM

Love driving in it, turn vsc sport on and make roundabouts and backroads my powerslide course.

Where are you getting an hour? Maybe round trip. I live ~20 miles north of Seattle.

jarviz 05-14-2013 04:38 PM

Traffic... I used to live in Everett on Lexington... And also in Marysville.

Wes 05-14-2013 04:52 PM

Only love the rain when my car is super dirty and it rains hard, hate it when it barely sprinkles and makes my car all dirty

You could say that Shoreline is 3 hours away from Seattle then.:bonk:

Chad 05-14-2013 08:19 PM

Other than making it dirty it's great. I've learnt to be very cautious on turning all the assists off unless I'm in an appropriate location though or if there aren't any other cars around. I'm on the stock tires and they can be pretty sketchy in the wet on public roads. I usually just turn the VSC sport on.

kidgogeta 05-14-2013 08:29 PM

the rain gives me an excuse to wash my car:thumbup:
