Scion FR-S options:what options did you have dealer installed?
What color and options have you had installed?
|
Firestorm. Katzkin leather seats :)
|
Haven't bought mine yet. But the plan is pretty much everything that's offered here in Canada.
Ultramarine M/T TRD Intake TRD Exhaust Premium Pioneer Audio Upgrade Bongiovi Acoustics DPS Scion spoiler TRD Springs (later on when they become available) Fogs (also when they become available) HIDs (possibly later on if they become available on new models) TRD big brake kit (if I feel like spending that much money, probably not though) And yes, I will be a TRD whore just because I'm leasing this car because I want to enjoy it as much as I can for a 4 or 5 years and then give it back to upgrade to something newer. Life's too short to drive one car forever, no matter how great it is! |
I got the clear Scion decal on my trunk loading area. I had the most difficult time figuring out how to describe the location of that... haha. Anyways, I got locking lugs and the embroidered trunk liner. I don't know if that comes standard, but another dude I know that got an FR-S out of town didn't get one!

I bought mine with nothing - figured I'd buy what I wanted later at a reduced cost. The dealer always charges top $$$s when it's part of the car. You can usually find the parts on-line for half the price. And believe me, if the dealer installs them, they aren't very hard to install yourself. |
Ultramarine. No additional options were offered or available.
|
None 100% stock as the region/dealers charge you twice the price for everything you have as a option it's cheaper to add the parts yourself.
|
Ultramarine, also went the no options route when getting the car, except for the scion spoiler and the wheel locks which were already on the car at the dealer.
I have more pride in a mod/add-on when I'm the one that designs it or simply bolts it on. |
Not a damn thing.
One reason I bought the FR-S (over other higher priced sports cars) was the cost of entry being so low and the relatively simple design which will make it easier and more affordable for me to work on. This will be my first mod/tuner car and I want to do everything myself. |
Whiteout is the color.
Ordered it like this: BeSpoke Carpeted trunk mat Rear bumper appliqué Hood and fender clear bra TRD air filter Alloy wheel locks Rear spoiler I also had the dealer install my OEM Audio+ System before I bought the car. |
Nothing since I got mine so early there was no options.

OK that's a good price I was only asking as some dealers rip people off on the install cost.
As for the warranty I'm not worried about that as OEM Audio+ looks out for me... |
There was options?
|
Got wheel locks, bumper decal, and trunk mat. Didn't pay a dime for them!
I really dislike the rear bumper decal. |
Options? I don't need no stinking options.
|
Every dealer option I paid for I regret. Bumper decal removed. Bespoke, total trash. Trd air filter swapped for a works. But I looooove my leather seats! Love them.
|
Ultramarine here.
The only thing I wanted on the car was the scion spoiler, since I'm one of the kooky folks that actually like the way it looks. Trunk mat was already in there, it didn't offend me, so I left it. |

the options are part of the pure price thing i think. where what ever is listed includes installed i believe. like the trd springs if part and install for 400 i dont mind no hard grunt work for me even though i work on car for a living.
|
None, because back in my day, we didn't have options! Though I do kinda like the TRD exhaust. It's expensive, isn't much power, but it sounds good, and it has a Toyota warranty...
I also want the JDM headlights, not sure if/when those will be available though. Quote:

There is no option choice besides the whiteout paint, and nav. system.
the dealer forced the rear bumper "SCION" sticker on me, which I really don't like and hey charge me $ 67.00 for it. |

Seems EVERY car in south Florida has at least 2k of port options installed. I already put a deposit and wrote check for 12k down. But might back out of deal if they make me pay for all that ToyoGuard nonsense.

Port install:
Fog lights Wheel locks (I wanted them off but they came with them on) Navigation module Dealer install: Spoiler |
Trunk and floor mats
Spoiler Window tint All stuff I would have wanted myself. They charged way too much for them ($495 tinting lol) but overall it was exactly what I wanted, I got a low APR and the price was what I expected to pay anyways. Walked in and drove off with it within an hour. |
All weather floor mats
Trunk mat TRD intake Greddy SP Elite exhaust I didn't want the trunk mat but it came with the car from the factory so they couldn't take it off. It's still in the packaging sitting in my garage lol |
I wanted it stock .. no options, but dealer found one with bumper applique. Everything else was stock.
Added after purchase: TRD Intake (won at FT86Nation event and replaced the Mishimoto intake tube) Wide angle mirrors stubby antenna SRD Racing seat covers (group buy) Bespoke navigation module (purchased from member and self installed) Michelin Sport AS3 tires (traded in OEM tires for $300 + $100 Visa gift card at Discount Tire) To be installed (be me) Perrin shifter springs (Christmas gift) Future: FT86 Speed Factory catted header TRD Exhaust (?) |
My plan right now:
Monogram edition TRD intake TRD exhaust Waiting impatiently |
OEM's spoiler for $399.
I think it is a good price with matching color of the 10 series. However, I regret it since. I should not bought this spoiler. Five Axis's spoiler is much, much nicer on the FRS. In addition, there is no drilling with Five Axis's spoiler. |
TRD Exhaust and Rear Wing,Tinted Windows, Firestorm Red
|
Dealer gave me free tinit and spoiler a paid my tax
|
How did dealer do that with pure price?
