We are happy to announce the availability of a few additional spec of our Yoshihara design wheels. D-12C are now available in 18x9+40 5x100. Also, in light of Dai Yoshihara's transition to BRZ chassis, we have released as well a limited edition Champion 18x9 Bronze edition. Because of this, we are offering limited partial sponsorships pertaining to the 2 new additions (Preferrably but not limited to local SoCal residents) in exchange for some awesome photos and limited show attendance. Please send your inquiries for consideration to info@yoshiharadesign.com. Thankyou.

Hard to tell from the pics, but these aren't very concave are they? Love the second set but want something aggressive. Both wheels look great!

Thanks for the compliment :) The Dy-12c are more track oriented and more serious design which tend to not be concave. From a wheel design perspective, concave designs usually involve more length in terms of spokes which lead to heavier weight. It sure looks good but not the characteristic that we are trying to go with on this particular design. The D-12c is for the average guy that wants an inexpensive light weight wheel, in this case with 18x8 is 19 lbs, for amateur track and street work.

Ah, I understand. I definitely like that you have track in mind. I guess I'm used to seeing most show vehicles with mild-aggressive faces on the wheels. Wish I could see these on a car though. Lack of sleep is making my imagination suck right now.

I'm down for the black on my argento.

Keep in mind I do have stock suspension, was thinking about doing swift or h&r springs.
I don't know if I would run into fitment issues or not?

Yes. That was before we got word that we will be shifting platform to the brz next season for Dai in drifting.

Dai will be running on the brz platform next year so we are super excited to have the ft86 brotherhood out there to support him. :)

Thanks! Just for clarification. We will be limiting the number of partial sponsorships to 16 FRS/brz owners since the bronze champion wheels are to be in limited sets. Thank you.

The real thing (coughSSRTypeFcough) comes in 17s, but sadly not in any aggressive specs.

LOL. Glad the wheel patrol is alive and well in this forum. Its always easier to generalize or reference similar designs.. However, the reality is that the market place today has products that looks so close to each other. Take the professor and the meister... similarly close yet different through the details. And really that is how wheel design has developed today, slight variances that would make people easy to generalize... SSR professors(coughworkmeister3pccough?);)

yoshiharadesign 05-15-2013 12:43 PM

Very special thank you to everyone who have expressed the interest to participate. We have gotten questions on why 16 owners only and if what we offer was the best we could do. To answer some questions, here is the break down. The bronze champions are limited edition, meaning that these are not yet offered through any sales outlets. This special edition is to highlight Dai's transition to 86 platform and available only for nissan s chassis and 86 platforms only... The d-12c 18x9 is a special spec edition intended for 86 owners... Therefore we are limiting to 16 owners total to participate in partial sponsorship program. The number of participants will be similar to the top 16 drift competition in Formula D. These 16 participants are our ambassadors of the brand, what we are, which is a brand created to be stylish, purposeful, and yet attainable by the regular individual who simply loves the connection with their car.

Actually its only available through www.discounttiredirect.com presently or you can order through any discount tire or america's tire store.

Yes Staggered fitment offering has made many happy :)

kev1360 05-18-2013 08:33 PM

Do you know when the D12C will be available? They are not on Discount Tires web site yet? Also price. Thanks

JoeBoxer 05-18-2013 08:39 PM

18x8 +30 and 18x9 +35 is a good fit or you can run 9's all around, the chrome lips look great with the chrome Toyota emblems too. I can't wait to see the Bronze on a Raven or WRB.

Asphalt~86 05-19-2013 09:37 PM

I'm apped in. I would run the bronze on the Asphalt. Think it'd be slightly interesting to see
