So since I wasn't able to get in on the last one that was done, I'd figure I'd start my own if anyone else is interested. I want to place an order from Japan Parts and we can save some money both on parts and shipping if we buy multiple sets. We can either have a group of 4 or 8. The exchange rate is more favorable now than the last GB so we'll get a slightly better price. Who's in?

Based on a quote (5/8/13) thru paypal, each set would cost approximately $230 shipped to my place in Lakewood.

Aero qualities, protection of undercarriage and it looks cleaner underneath.

True. Most people don't spent near as much time under their own car as they should. I, however, try to clean under the vehicle every time I'm under. I like keep things clean all around... I guess. :lol:

Does anybody know if the temp properties of the car are ok with these? I don't want to overheat my exhaust pipes or my LSD and possibly melt something.

Close date? Don't really have a set one. We have 4 Already (they come in sets of 4 for a special price) but I'll wait to get 8 if we can in reasonable time. Price is not locked in. The exchange rate is fluctuating daily but the final price will be posted once the order is place. Shouldn't deviate much from the $238, hopefully exchange rate changes in our favor and pushes the price down.

They don't go over your exhaust pipes or diff. These are OEM plates that come standard on the BRZ and higher 86 models. Melting should not be an issue if installed properly.

Could someone please link me to the parts page on Japan Parts? I've been searching and can't seem to find it. Don't have an FRS yet but am definitely interested in a few months for round 3 (or 4 or 5 or 6?!)

Just go to www.japanparts.com. For the plates, On the advanced search Make:SUBARU, Model: BRZ, Parts Manufacturer:Subaru

The plates are under BRZ parts. You can search Toyota 86 for any other JDM stuff you may want to get.

Oops on the #3 part lol. Yeah I know the exchange rate is awesome. I'm trying to take advantage bro and let some fellow FT86ers in on the savings of course. :)

I told the other GB host but you'll most likely get hit with customs fee/tax about a month after you receive the parts. It should be only $5 or so for each person. Just keep that in mind.

So we got 8 (at least I think we do) Once everyone confirms that they are in, I'll PM with my contact info and final price (hopefully reflecting even better exchange rates).

Yeah I'd get them shipped directly to me, but would prefer either local pickup or meet somewhere in the LA area.

Just to let you know you don't need that many stock hardware since you would be removing your stock panel as well and some of clips and screw can be used.

Yeah. Start a NorCal GB and save some more $. :) Japan Parts discounts if you buy in sets of 4 and also shipping is spread around better.
