[ame]http://youtu.be/1PNWqI_J5s4[/ame]

Don't know if this is OK to post here, or needs to be moved to the video section...but it is all Vortech supercharged FR-S in this new promo video. ENJOY!!!

WatchmaN 05-08-2013 04:40 PM

well done vidéo

ATL BRZ 05-08-2013 05:30 PM

What a disappointing video. The music ruined it for me. Atrocious stuff, that dubstep is.

How about some footage of Vortech cars being driven hard doing time attack laps on a road course instead of sitting around hardparked and cruising at 35mph? So lame.

Yawn...

King Tut 05-08-2013 05:36 PM

Bumper beam looks good on that Rocket Bunny.

It accelerates hard. Silver car ahead of me has vortech: upgraded compressor and vortech's tune.

Yeah I don't know if I'd call this video hitting the streets as opposed to posted up in a parking lot. This video highlights the "cars" not the system. I still like the video a lot

Video looks freaking awesome!

I have NOTHING against you guys, this is constructive feedback.

I see the power figures and IMHO they are deeceiving because everyone looks for WHP WTQ numbers and might be misled buy this. I would either list the Wheel power, or add Crank HP Crank TQ.

Awesome video nonetheless. :w00t:

RIPTRD71 05-08-2013 07:27 PM

Amazing video!

Sonolin 05-08-2013 07:29 PM

Dissapointing video...

Cars "look" cool, though.

SmsAlSuwaidi 05-08-2013 08:25 PM

I wonder if the guys at vortech give out free kits to every "cool" looking 86

campy 05-08-2013 08:58 PM

Why have I yet to see any videos of an FI'd 86 on a drag strip? I know that isn't what they are made for, but I think it would still be good to see.

Seems like you missed the records by accelerated performance , 11.3 1/4

mad_sb 05-08-2013 10:06 PM

So, that video... just not feeling it at all. It looks like a NOPI commercial or and advert for a car show... IMO it does not showcase the product at all other than how the install looks. But if your marketing to the car show, "im so low i gotta hit 10 degree drops at 45 degrees so i don't get hung on my herra functional splitter yo" crowd then your on the right track :)

Great product, terrible video

They had stock 200 vs blow 294. Nothing deceptive about that.

NomoreNA 05-08-2013 10:28 PM

I felt like this was a preparation video for the ice cream cruise. I personally would have turned off the music and paused the video as each car was pulling out of the parking lot and gave a list of mods and whp/wtq numbers.

But in the video they posted stock numbers at the crank as well. So its all good.

rusty959 05-08-2013 11:08 PM

I wish I could have heard more car sounds :/

zooki 05-11-2013 09:41 AM

Makes me want to put my hat on backward and cruise the mall parking lot, yo.

How about the next video showing what the system actually does for the car?

SnapOv3st3r 05-11-2013 10:14 AM

Wow...tough crowd.

6-Shift 05-11-2013 02:08 PM

^^^^^
Welcome to the FI section. "WHERE'S THE DYNO HURR DURR"
"DYNO VIDEO HURR" "HOW MUCH BOOST DURR" "Y U NO TRACK"

/slight sarcasm

zooki 05-11-2013 03:25 PM

Well, in all fairness, since this is a forum for power adders, wouldn't it be nice to see the added power actually being used? Hard parking and cruising isn't exactly what a supercharger is made for. About halfway through that video I was expecting one of those guys to hang his steering wheel out of the window....almost forgot, yo.

True true. LMAO lets not get THAT thread started again....

AllDayJonRay 05-22-2014 12:05 PM

Holy thread revival:

Can anyone tell me off the top of their head what wheels are on the ultramarine??

I have a one, don't take the V3 unit to the track and don't have so many spirited drives with it either. It'll cost you. Oh wait, I'm second owner and warranty doesn't transfer so it'll cost me haha

I'd show you some vids but unfortunately you won't like the result of the last track day (BW) nor the baby-ing of the unit with more proficient drivers than I at thill and sow.

In short, you plan on running the V3 at the track, don't. V2 unit, idk...seems like a car fetch for me to pay more rather than be informed properly.

So did your issues wind up being hardware or was it tuning?

Hardware.

Can I blame the tuner for smoothing out the ruff edges when I took over the car, maybe. But I can't seem to blame him for bearing issues, intermittent up noise (bearing "just needs to be pushed in" unquote), and the up charge I will endure to either rebuild or upgrade.

King Tut 05-22-2014 05:26 PM

Damn this video. Cost me a month in detention.

Sorry to hear that, drama with mods blows.

AllDayJonRay 05-22-2014 05:51 PM

Seriously though. I just want to know if anyone can point me towards those wheels (on the ultramarine).

Shot SC bearings? How many miles on it?

MyRx 05-22-2014 08:47 PM

~20K miles

This is the video that convinced me to go with Vortech

They look like Rotiform NUE's. Not sure if knock offs though.
