Subaru BRZ Commercial Japan Drama
Wow I really like this, Subaru Japan had released advertisement for the BRZ in a Asian Drama Format. If someone be so kind to help translate it be really nice. ( Lol I bet Giccin would love these)
Warning they tear jerk you :( They call it "Your Story with Subaru" Subaru BRZ ( my fave a story with a Boy and his father) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjWaz4M4qy8"]SUBARU ™šCM 遺伝*‚ƒƒƒˆƒ•‚ƒƒ*‡€€SUBARU Short Film " -DNA- Your Story With" - YouTube[/ame] Because I can really relate to this.. Others: Subaru Legacy (A father Rushing to his new born) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZWmBczpdv8"]YouTube[/ame] Subaru Forester (The Proposal) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXXMmSjNNzQ"]YouTube[/ame] They'll be releasing more in the future. |
Just saw it now at home. Couldn't see the vids at work. Damn got me chocked up a bit. LOL
|
Thanks for sharing them Zaku!
Damn, think theres something in my eyes now! |
Good find Zaku thanks for posting. Too bad I cant understand anything... I feel like i'm 13 again... watching blurry porn looking for a nipple. Only this time its a car.
|
Yeah they hardly show the BRZ, they dont even say what it is!
|
Lol guys they are trying to sell the Brand Like "Subaru is always there for you" that sort of message. It's like some American Superbowl Commercial, it doesn't mention the car but it give you a feel of the brand.
|
Good find!!
|
even without sound those make more sense than the new US commercials

Brz seats <3 <3

Holy shit, that BRZ commercial was awesome! You didn't even need to know Japanese, it was set up well enough that you could tell what they were talking about.
The toy should have been an old Impreza or something though.... |
Oh damn, I just realized he was driving an Automatic.
His dad should have left his sorry ass on the streets. |
This commercial was really cool. Actually had sentimental value to me since I grew up watching my dad wax his new 1997 Impreza Outback Sport. The BRZ will be my first new Subaru purchase, so I can kinda relate. I also have been convinced again that blue is definitely the color I should get. Looks awesome.

Good commercial....subaru love right there
|
WHYYYYYYYYYYYY ZAKU.

and Guff that's not a beetle that's a '58 Subaru 360 they all kinda looked like eachother back then because the Japanese used the Beetle as blueprints for their automobiles. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...aru_360_01.jpg |

Damn, Zaku beat me to it on Guff's comment.

That was a very bizarre video, and I'm not sure yet what to make of it. I am left confused, and hungry.

I speak and understand nihongo just fine, but I felt this brz commercial was too cliche, and sort of corny; probably because im used to watching real j_dramas... i know the cm was trying to sell the brand and at the same time make people say: "wh0a, which subaru model is that!?" type of deal... i did like the part where the son enters a rebellious age and his father tells him to gtfo the house; ive been there, but havent we all??? haha... anywho, i cant wait for the "real" brz commercial to hit in the near future :] |
aww i liked it, i wish my dad liked cars...or me...or my happiness
(jk, i do wish he liked cars more) |

Translate (version 0.1) Boy (Ryosuke): brooom~ Dad: Ryosuke, you want to ride it? Ryosuke: yeah! (hell yeah! it's Subaru!), broom.... Time passes... Dad: Hey wait up!! Where are you going? Ryosuke: (couldn't get it)...shut up! Dad: What do you mean "what"? (almost same time) Ryosuke leaves... Dad: Get out!!! Time passes... Ryosuke now grown, with girl friend (first time introduction?) Ryosuke: I'm back Mom: welcome back Ryosuke: here (she is) Girl: hello, nice to meet you Mom: nice to meet you Ryosuke looks for dad... Mom: Your dad is in his normal place. American version: your pop is in his mancave. Ryosuke: want to ride it? Dad goes into get Ryosuke's toy car. Dad drives Dad: This is nice car Ryosuke: Thanks Announcer: You and your car... what kind of stories do you have (with it). |
Holy crap I may consider the BRZ now, yeeeeee. Great Commericial even though I don't understand.
|
I started to tear-up at that boy and his dad commercial

At first I was in love with the FT-86 because of the body styling. After this toned down version that the USA and Canada will get thanks to Scion, I'm definitely headed towards the Subie now. I want the leather seats, push button start and non-crap version of the climate controls. I wonder if I can swap out the front bumper from the 86. :iono: |
Can't understand the language, but the universal body language tells the whole story. I watched it twice, and no matter the language I think it seems better, more emotional, on mute.
Though I must say, the screencap selected for the entry page of the site is rather unflattering. Looks like the guy just got caught getting ready to take a dump next to the car. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1328331748 |

Geez have you ever see a man caress a car like that before :D
|
having an automobile in japan [metro cities] is a luxury since you really don't need one, unless if you have special needs [ie- golfing on the weekends]... that's why customizing your vehicle is the norm and people take better care of it than say, people who solely own one for a mode of transportation...
|
I don't see why everybody is getting teary eyed and now saying "IM GETTING A BRZ NOW!"
Come on people think...... THINK! This commercial applies to every vehicle and father-son relationship - not just Subaru... Don't allow a commercial to have that much influence on your decision. |
